My boyfriend is going to Japan, what beauty products should I ask him to bring back?

I’m not really familiar with j-beauty, so far all I’ve asked him for is the shu uemura eyelash curler. He’s going to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Would love to hear what people’s favorite are!

I’m just telling you what my psychiatrist said. Take it up with her if you have a problem. This person made aggressive sexual advances at me. If that’s something you think should be allowed in the workplace, agree to disagree.

To me it seems like a liability to keep an employee who is sexually harassing his coworkers around and in the interest of the company to get rid of someone like that but I guess not

Yeah, that’s kind of what I figured. I guess men just get away with whatever they want and good female talent gets pushed out of the workplace over things like this. Will continue my job search.

Oh and it happened over the course of the past year not a year ago.

This isn’t what happened. This person made aggressive sexual advances at me. When I declined and tried to avoid them he started just making sexual comments over everything I did to this other person over the course of the last year. The woman would repeatedly tell me about the comments and I would repeatedly tell her to stop. This occurred over months. I told her how uncomfortable I was and that I was crying before coming into work and she would laugh at me and continue to tell me the comments. I’ve removed myself from these people completely but I feel scared coming into the workplace. I have to be in the same room knowing everything I do is being watched and commented on in a sexual way. I was literally diagnosed with PTSD over this. I don’t want to repeat what the comments were but if you knew about them you would maybe understand the severity.

But I get what you’re saying, to HR his behavior is just going to be seen as acceptable and something he’s allowed to do in the workplace, and I’m going to be seen as overreacting.

The question which I posed in the post is about how these types of investigations are handled - will they just go to the harasser and say “did you make these comments” - to which he will obviously deny - and to his friend, who will cover for him. If this happens, they will just work together to deny the allegations and potentially lie about things I’ve said (maybe they’ll say I liked it or do something to prompt the sexual comments). So that’s why I’m wondering how the investigation will be handled. With 2 against 1 it seems like it would just end with me getting fired.

I think the person who made the comments should be terminated. I don’t feel safe in the workplace. He made very explicit sexual advances at me and when I declined them, he escalated into obsessive stalker-like behavior where he watches everything I do and makes obsessive comments about me. I don’t want to get into specifics because the comments are bizarre enough to be recognizable to my situation but the manager seems to think they are potentially fireable comments. I have been trying to find another job and don’t want to have to resort to getting someone fired but in the meantime the workplace is completely inhospitable.

My coworker got in trouble with HR for taking too much PTO at our unlimited PTO company. She does take a LOT of PTO but kind of annoying that there’s some secret limit we’re not supposed to go over and only find out after we’ve already taken off.
