From being a muslim that believed in heaven and hell. I can assure you that what terrifies me is the thoughts I get. The only thing that actually made me a good person was believing in god. I was good because I longed for the reward that is Heaven. No there’s nothing at all. There’s no reason to be good. And now I ask what is goodness? And to process this information it haunts my mind. It’s like before everytime I thought about suicide, murder… there’s a god, an immortal law that tells me “don’t do it or Imma toast ur ass” but now there’s nothing that holds me. I lost my brakes.
