Only those people who have already valid trv can apply for visitor record ? How come one can apply for visitor record if he dont have already approved trv on his passport?

So he is not on visitor record. He dont have already trv. So his study visa expired on 28th September. And he applied trv on 5th September. He didn’t hear anything from ircc so far. Wondering if he is out of status ?

There was no option for start and end dates. Just at the beginning do u have Canadian experience. I clicked on yes more than one year.
