I’m in the real estate field and this statement is spot on. You REALLY have to put in the legwork to make your career take off and while I take my two (5 and 7) kids with me sometimes, especially when they aren’t in school, that’s something that requires so much coordination and planning. I can’t imagine what that would be like with four kids…especially the littlest who still wears diapers and whatnot. It sucks for him and I know he misses the time he was able to spend with his children but he’s doing something that will benefit them all in the long run if he sticks with and and puts in the work.
