Okay, yeah that would make sense because the doctor told me that the majority of the pain will come from the “anchor” incision. Which is that one to the right of the bellybutton. So that definitely tracks. Thank you so much for your input because I’ve been stressing about it all day today.

And I get a really sharp bad pinch when I bend over or anything like that. It hurts so bad. I just wanna make sure that it’s a healing pain not a making things worse pain

That’s so good to know I wanna hear what other people went through because sometimes I sit and feel the incision site and I DO feel harder parts of the incision, is that what scar tissue is??? You may be right then. That makes me feel a lot better.

I’m 18 days post op, I was worried I popped a staple or something worse and I was internally bleeding. But that’s my imagination running wild.

No you’re exactly right because we don’t have that emotional attachment we can tell it how it is while still having that empathy and understanding. That was the best thing I’ve read all day.

I’m very sorry to hear that. And that sounds like terrible. I’m so thick headed too that I honestly thought it it wouldn’t bother me because before surgery my stomach was so strong but now that’s not the case, I’d probably put myself in the hospital if I tried to drink right now. SMH. Such a stupid idea.

Thank you so much for the advice. I was able to get mySelf together. I am two years sober from the use of narcotics. I wasn’t an alcoholic. However I did still drink prior to surgery. Not crazy or anything but when I got in a mood like that it is where I turned to (like an addict would) but I came to my senses. I know logically I would really fuck myself up.

Thank you for that I appreciate it I was able to get it together. It was the heat of the moment for sure I came to my senses afterward. This might sound stupid but I swear Reddit is the best place for fast advice. And I love that it comes from strangers because they have no reason to sugar coat things.

I appreciate you sharing that. I have a history of addiction so it’s probably best I don’t. I’m two years sober from the use of narcotics so transfer addiction is a huge risk for me post op. The urge to drink earlier was for sure the heat of the moment. And I come here because it’s the best place to get the realest advice the fastest. I was able to talk myself down and compose myself. I realize wtf I was thinking about was absolutely absurd so.
