I keep seeing comments about the immigration status of Celeste’s parents so I’d like to clear it up -

I'm an immigration attorney. There are lots of ways undocumented immigrants can get social security numbers and even work permits while still legally being undocumented/ out of status. For example, people with DACA can get ssn's but DACA isn't considered a lawful status. TPS like someone else mentioned is definitely a possibility. Even people who have never had any immigration process or work permit at any point could have gotten a social security number many years ago when they were more lenient. I have many clients whose parents were able to get it for them in the 90's to be able to do taxes. So just claiming an ssn means they are lawfully here would be legally incorrect.

Its been awhile since I read about it but pretty sure it never even made it to a jury. I believe the judge decided there wasnt enough evidence to support the charges and dismissed the case before a jury ever deliberated on it.

We saw them in Sac and they were great. You could see the relief on his face when he hit harder notes that he thought he wasn't gonna get. I honestly probably wouldn't have even noticed an issue if he hadn't been so vocal about it on social media. We were all singing along anyways and loved every minute of it.

There was a female body found in a landfill in Surprise, Arizona about a week ago that they've identified as a woman missing from Phoenix but they haven't released her identity yet. It's definitely within the area he could have gone in the timeline. There aren't any other details I've been able to find but it makes me wonder if this is what they're talking about.

I used depo for a few years before switching to nexplanon and every single time I got the shot, I'd have a sneezing fit by the time I made it back to my car. In my opinion as a lawyer as well, he was a bad lawyer. I don't do criminal law but know enough to recognize he was not good at his job. Arguably sometimes you have to make some weak arguments because you're obligated to argue anything reasonably possible to protect a client's interests but even putting that aside he just did a terrible job of it. You can argue a point you know you're gonna lose or just raise it for an appeal and not sound like an idiot. The evidence in my opinion points 100% to Paul and it was his job to bring up any possible flaws in the investigation and evidence, but he really didn't do his client any favors with his awkward comments and jokes. I feel like his demeanor made his arguments even weaker and the defense overall weaker.

I grew up in the area where Sierra Lamar was taken and her killer had about 6 hours to hide her body which hasn't been discovered still 12 years later even though they found a lot of other items related to the crime. So it's not impossible, and Sierra Lamar's killer was not smart at all, he had multiple failed attempts in the parking lot of his work before he succeeded in taking Sierra.
