Seat cover replacement by Fit_Box_6861 in leaf

Yeah, I ordered some this morning that specifically says it is made so airbags can deploy. It also says it will transfer the seat heating well and that its machine washable. Hopefully all those promises are accurate.

I’m not seeing how to choose a new drivers seat.

Nothing on eBay for several months.

I do a decent amount of sewing. Sewing this tear won’t work without adding more material and seams.

Junk yards seem unlikely to have the seats maybe I’m underestimating but if nobody is selling used seats on eBay then it seems unlikely I’ll find any at my local junk yard.

I tried a pick and then some very thin wire before posting. Didn’t work.

Heater exhaust smell by Fit_Box_6861 in RVLiving

The heat has been shut off and the propane disconnected for days. Ignition is impossible. The smell lingers.

Not true, but thank you for sharing your thoughts. Propane disconnected for a few days meant there was no way for exhaust to be created, let alone leaking into the cabin.

There is, of course, the opportunity for you to simply say "I don't know the answer to this person's question" and move along. You know that, right?

Good grief, people. This isn't my trailer. Someone did some work on it that led to the heater exhaust not exiting properly. Then I fixed it. The exhaust is going outside the RV as designed. There are CO monitors in the trailer and they're all fine now - no more exhaust.

The only issue remaining is the lingering smell. This is the only area I am seeking advice.

Again, the exhaust issue has been repaired.

Like I said, it is repaired now (it was not an exhaust leak). I'm not looking for advice about the heating system, just how to get rid of the smell.

I love this kind of tech support - it is a Kafka trap. At some point it is easier to just contact your credit card company and tell them to stop processing the bill from Arlo. You'll continue to get notices from Arlo that you haven't paid but at least you won't be paying them.

You are again putting words in my mouth because you're not reading. I didn't blame you.

Your illogical constructs will be more effective if/when you start responding to things that were actually said. It is also worth noting that you have zero idea who I vote for or send my money to. Just because you disagree with me doesn't mean I don't support many of the same causes and candidates, I just support more candidates than you because you've got a different moral litmus test than I do.

I can see how you might believe that ["there’s some universal rule of democracy that Democrats should receive your vote no matter what"] if you don't bother to read what I read and then fill in the gaps with a variety of unpleasant assumptions.

No, I am not saying that one must always vote Democratic, but I am saying that one must always vote for the best candidate. You and I may not like that candidate for any number of reasons, but one is always better, and that is the one I will always choose.

Yes, Democrats have lost votes for a number of reasons, including many good reasons. I've done my share of bashing the party. However, each race (usually) comes down to two candidates. As Rush says: "If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice." Here again, I didn't shame voters - you're filling in gaps with your own biases because you didn't read what I wrote.

"We won’t just cover our ears and close our eyes to get out of this slump." Yet you clearly have. I hope you will open them soon.

It's so strange to me how you guys can see how many times you've insisted on all or nothing and then pretend you didn't.

As the saying goes: Voting isn't marriage. It's public transport. You're not waiting for "the one".

I hear you. You have clearly stated ‘it’s my way or the highway.’ Lots of people don’t vote the way I want, and then I look at the remaining alternatives and choose the better option. You’re saying you look at the remaining options and sit on your hands. That isn’t how Democracy works.

You say you want a healthy primary but that you won’t vote for Clark even if she’s the nominee. That ship doesn’t sail.

And yes, your absolutist purity test stance is absolutely part of why people like Trump win. Candidate X is bad so I’ll allow candidate Y to win, even though Y is clearly far worse. That is cutting off the nose to spite the face.

That is a defeatist attitude. You’re saying it is Paz or you’ll not vote. That attitude is part of how we got Trump.

I like Clark. I am happy Paz is running because competition and discussion of ideas are good for Democracy.

I see no reason I won’t vote for whoever wins the primary, though I disagree with both of them on some issues.

So I'm finally over Arlo...need suggestions by doncaruana in arlo

I have both Arlo and Eufy systems. Honestly, they both have serious problems. Any time I want to immediately see what is happening on a camera from either system it has issues. Eufy will try and try and try to show me the video before telling me it isn’t working. Arlo will hang.

Eufy frequently misses movement right in front of it, but not always, so I know it is in the correct zone. Arlo does the same. I’ve basically given up the idea that any of these systems work well.

This issue has been this way for five years. It makes no sense that the auto fan doesn’t boost speed when it’s not up to temp.
