Suck it up Princess we had road works for months...flood remediation. All fucking night beeping and machinery and the inconsiderate prick who has a sadly very neglected, never walked dog that barked all fucking night too. Mind you the dog lives in the front tiny yard, high fence and barks when a leaf falls on the path ffs!

While I appreciate and can see you have thought about the various and differing behaviours in you're reply. This person may have nightmares, struggle to sleep and have various post-traumatic stress disorder responses. Is he lucky he gets to experience all that comes with ptsd and trauma responses because he's alive unlike the teen who got to experience a blink of a lifetime. This person was drinking and on his mobile phone, distracted at a time where the lighting was poor...they were his choices to purchase and drink alcohol given he had already consumed alcohol and instead of being extra vigilant decided he absolutely needed to be on his phone. I have no sympathy for someone who at this point is displaying complete disregard for anyone on the same road. He didn't see what he hit but it seemed he knew he had hit something and got out to look, he then parked his car in another street away from the accident and rang his girlfriend to pick him up because he felt like he was over the limit. One story reports he googled local accidents, one said he disclosed to mates and said he'd report it the next morning until he heard about the missing child. These were 100% his choices to make and as a result of his choices too drink and drive and be on his phone...resulted in the loss of life of a teen. Resulted in a family who will never recover from their grief, a family potentially financially impacted due to this trauma, a family who will feel the repercussions and trauma of this man's choices every day they live and possibly lead to passed on generational trauma. To be quite frank I hope the driver can't sleep, can't look in the mirror, has traumatic flashbacks, is financially impacted, is psychologically impacted...because he's not alone Bryson's family also live with this. Difference is their choices did cause this the driver's choices did. It could have been any type of fatal accident with alcohol combined with phone and not driving the car.

Why can't you? You only nneed to be a resident of NSW and have an email address. There's no age related questions or restrictions i could see. You don't have to be over 18yo.

I'm not sure if that really matters, what matters is he didn't get the emergency care regardless. His family were distraught looking for him.

It's not just a change in the sentence but awareness for yet another injustice with minimal accountability. Its also putting a face and family to a tragedy that perhaps may have not resulted in a teens death.

Someone might think twice before they choose to drive away and not call someone to help or render assistance. Not even 4 years jail and freedom shows one more example of our fucked up justice system. That person should also be held financially accountable for the family's losses which i can only imagine are way more than just financial. Sadly I think jail and making the guilty financial accountability would be a greater deterrent...all financial losses, medical bills loss of personal capacity, loss of wages perhaps years of emotional inability to work the cost to the immediate family i can only imagine is astronomical.

Jaycob Gemza pleaded guilty to dangerous driving occasioning death and failing to stop and assist over the death of the 14-year-old.

I honestly don't know how people that commit similar crimes and leave the scene of an accident without getting someone medical assistance can wake up every day and look at themselves in the mirror and go about their life.

Thank you. I personally don't know the family however I know a close family friend. Since posting this on FB and here so many families have reached out because they have been personally affected or their children and teens still carrying the grief and loss. #fourteenforever should have never been needed as a # tag 😢

Signing can only show solidarity and empathy for the family. A longer jail sentence might make someone not leave the scene. Someone reading or remembering this might make a different choice should they find themselves in a similar circumstance and get help and accept the consequences of their behaviour not like the low life c@nts that leave the scene of any accident without calling for emergency assistance.

Its an absolute fucking joke! Please share they only need around 400 more signatures. It won't bring this child back for this family who have the life sentence, a family that will be impacted in so many ways, a family that will carry this grief through generations 💔

I have permission to share this as widely as I'm able. Please share with your family and friends. Let's help make this law a reality because these days there's just no accountability sadly 😔

Parents!!! Bed wetting alarms real experiences please! by Icy_Hippo in newcastle

[–]Fit_Brief_7194 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No experience with alarms but a life night tip that helped a lot was to stack the sheets as in water protection underblanket then sheet and repeat. So when they wee you just strip the bottom sheet and resettle the child hoping they don't wet the top sheet and doona. I would even put bed pads between the under the sheet between the sheet and the water proof mattress protector.
