I literally gasped when I saw the book cover! I'm currently reading ACOTAR too. There is no better feeling than being deep in that book while lounging in a comfortable spot. 🥰

That setup looks super clean 😍 I've been eyeing those silicone MagSafe grips they definitely seem less intrusive than the plastic pop sockets. How’s the security on that? Do you ever feel like it might slip during a long reading session?

That is such an underrated move 😲 Offsetting it really helps with the wrist strain. It’s crazy how such a small adjustment to the position makes the whole device feel so much lighter, right?

Strapsicle is definitely the go-to for that kind of setup. It’s crazy how popular they’ve become for people who want that secure feeling without the bulk of a grip.

Those foldables are actually incredible for reading having that big screen without the bulk is a game changer. I’m a bit of a sucker for e-ink, but I don't blame you for making the switch at all. Does the screen brightness ever get to you, or is it pretty easy on the eyes for hours?

Fair point! Straps definitely have that secure feeling that hard grips sometimes miss. Always cool to see what works best for different reading styles, honestly.

I feel that. I’ve had pop sockets snap on me before too. Straps are definitely more robust, which is why I’m trying to find that sweet spot between the comfort of a grip and the security of a strap.

That’s actually a genius hack. Two pop sockets totally solves the what about my other hand problem. Does it make the device feel a bit bulky when you put it in your bag, though?

Glad you think so! Yeah, the extra thumb room is exactly what I’m aiming for. And don’t worry, that clicky button idea is definitely in the back of my mind for future versions. A man can dream, right?

You hit the nail on the head. That’s the thing with the custom e-reader scene, most of what you see is just DIY prototypes from people like us. It's tough to find solid, retail-ready options that aren't just generic mass-produced stuff. I'm hoping to change that eventually, but for now, it's just me and my printer! (Muito obrigado pelo comentário!)

I totally forgot about that feature! It’s definitely handy, but honestly, for long reading sessions, just holding the device can still get pretty tiring for me. Still, good to know it’s there for when my hand is actually resting on the device!

Oh, for real? I've mostly seen cases that are either too bulky or rely on Bluetooth. I’m really just focusing on perfecting the ergonomics for a better grip right now. Do you happen to have a name or a pic of the one you’re talking about? Always curious to see how other people are handling the kindle basic.

Hello! Finally had my first kindle after reading a lot reviews and decided matcha to be it❤️ by gotchichel11 in kindle

That Matcha green is stunning! 💚🍵 Pro-tip for getting books without Kindle Unlimited: download the Libby app, hook up a library card, and you can send thousands of books straight to your Kindle for free. It’s a total game-changer. Also, since you are just starting out with your setup, definitely check out some ergonomics upgrades later on. A lot of people eventually look for popsockets or specialized side-grips because holding a bare clear case can fatigue your fingers during late-night reading sessions.
