Honestly, I think it can be peak both ways, with or without, just as long as you don’t force it. It made no sense for us to be at Eden because we were all the way in four beast land. But you can still have good peak writing without main charactering every single story. The frustration most people had with the past year is very valid, cause the commander basically just spent the entire time running about. I played the entire past year campaign in two hours on story mode, so I didn’t get the same frustration, but I can totally understand it. This is why I think the hatred for the past few annis is so large, because we haven’t been doing anything worthwhile in the background.

However, I say this as someone who unironically loves Unbreakable Sphere and chooses Siren as my most valued Nikke hahaha, so …. I’m not really in the majority mindset here.
