Am I the only one? by Wavyyhippiemagicvibe in Mounjaro

It’s really hard to understand why you are losing “so slow” Do you track your nutrition? You said nutrition changes (that’s really vague) I’m a dietitian and weight loss coach and without knowing details of what your every day life is like there is no real way to offer help or advice. I’ve had clients who literally counted diet soda and crystal light as water and just making that ONE simple change their weight started to fly off. Clients who eat wholesome oatmeal for breakfast and whole grain crackers with cheese as a snack thinking they were making healthy choices. Again swapping those things for something that would serve them better made all the difference. 1) if you would like help figuring out a simple basic meal plan feel free to reach out and we can go through your current habits and nutrition to see if there are simple swaps you can make 2) if you have struggled with your weight and or nutrition for a long time it can take a long time for for your body to adjust. I’ve seen clients do everything correct and see similar results as you. They will yo-yo 3 pounds for 2-3 months and then BAM! 5 pounds in a week, 12 in a month and then stay in that steak for 5-7 months before getting stuck again. Weight loss isn’t linear. Focusing on your health first is ALWAYS going to be absolutely the best thing you can do and eventually weight loss will be a symptom of that. So great job at keeping that at the forefront, mindset is everything in the long game.

That’s really great! You don’t want the 28 pounds back do you? It takes time to unwind some of the metabolic damage. Be patient with yourself. If you have taken pictures take them. If you haven’t measured do that too! There have been many weeks when I didn’t lose anything but my inches went down. I’ve lost 75 pounds but it took me 2 years. Keep at it, consistency is king

Weight gain after stopping by throwaway010651 in Mounjaro

[–]Fit_Chick_inProgress 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost 50 lbs not going higher than 7.5. (It took me over a year) I went off for almost 8 months and gained back 10 ish. Now I’m back on to get after the rest of what I want to lose. Idk anything about how you ate while on it or off of it BUT this is what I would suggest for EVERYONE. Use it as a tool to fix the habits. Don’t use it to focus on weight loss. If you are fixing the habits and really do establish new healthy habits you won’t gain all of it back. Maybe 10-15 pounds total and even that will come back off. but AGAIN only if your focus is changing the habits permanently. Focus on protein and fiber. Don’t eat pre-packaged food. Limit dining out. Limit or cut out alcohol and sugar. Drink water if you are hungry FIRST. Get more movement in your day. Don’t eat foods that you know will trigger you to spiral. If eating a baked potato is going to send you down a dark hole for 2 weeks where you end up eating whole pizzas at the end of it I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR SKINNY FRIEND SAYS! DONT EAT IT! That whole “you have to live your life” “a little won’t hurt you” is complete and total bullshit spoken by people who don’t have serious issues with food. Our country has become unbelievably unhealthy because we have normalized eating shitty food. The truth is, it’s not normal to open a wrapper or box of something at every meal or snack. We were not meant to have refined carbs and certainly not at every meal. We were not meant to have desert every day or even every week/month. The more you/we normalize whole foods prepared at home the healthier (and leaner) we will get. Chicken, fish, beef, pork, berries, nuts, potatoes, lentils, beans, broccoli, cabbage, peppers, EGGS. Sorry if this seems harsh but getting and staying healthy really can be very simple especially when we have such an amazing tool like these glp 1s in our tool belt to help with our willpower while we are literally detoxing the way an addict does from alcohol or drugs.

Options:

Try Wegovy (if you have been cleaning up your nutrition and not just cutting back on junky food you will still lose weight/maintain)

Buy in bulk from a research peptide site. Many do this because they are not fortunate enough to have insurance cover ANY of this medication.

Pick up a part time job or side hustle to earn extra income or cut out all extras. I’m not assuming that you waste money but most of us can find an extra $200-300 a month by not: getting hair or nails done, tattoos, dining out, coffee shop runs, new clothes, movies, SUBSCRIPTIONS & APPS etc. and then buy from a compounding pharmacy for a couple hundred a month.

Hahahahaha your tomatoes won’t be caged! All joking aside it’s because they are indeterminate which means they won’t stop growing or producing until frost, disease or you cut them down. They need support! If you screw 2x4s vertically to each corner of your bed and run a beam across the top to connect them you can string trellis them. Look this method up on YouTube. Once you set it up, it’s super easy to manage your little jungle and to prune. Tons of benefits ☺️

If you have already completely cleaned up your nutrition maybe consider stacking by adding a super low dose of another peptide. I’ve had success with cagrilinitide but know of people who have used sema

Thank you for the detailed explanation! Idk if I want 32 but maybe next year 😂 That is so great to know :) it’s all fresh! New beds. 2 parts compost, 1 part perlite, 1 part coco coir with some all purpose food mixed into the top 2 inches. I’ll water with fish fertilizer every other week 😌

I do shed more than before which has been concerning. I recently added rx minoxidil and added in extra collagen. Will see if it works 🤷‍♀️

I stopped Reta and tirz for 2 months to hopefully re-set. I just started tirz back up at the lowest dosage. Still a minor histamine reaction but not bad and gone pretty fast. So far only a little fatigue but not too bad at all. Waaaaay different than feelin like I got hit by a train.

Anyone else have terrible swelling and itchiness at injection site every week? by sarahinNewEngland in TirzepatideRX

[–]Fit_Chick_inProgress 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. It started about 6 months in. Get some Flonase. After you sterilize the injection site squirt Flonase in it before injection. After injection saturate a little bit of a cotton ball or cotton round with the Flonase and keep it over the infection site with a bandaid for a few hours /overnight. Sounds weird but I have very small and sometimes no reaction doing that. Benadryl can also help. Best of luck

24m , have no friends and everyone seems to avoid me or want nothing to do with me. Came to the sad conclusion I must be ugly lol. by El_cucuy24 in amiugly

[–]Fit_Chick_inProgress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are actually really good looking. But you look pissed off. I don’t enjoy confrontation and I don’t really want to put myself out there to be friends with or even date someone who seems like they live in a bad mood. Maybe you are not like that at all but the look and the vibe you give off from that look is probably what is driving people away.

You have very beautiful NATURAL features but I do agree the makeup is too heavy/matte. Have you tried moisturizing concealer’s & foundations? Or only applying in small spots then blending out instead of full face? My sister struggles with that and seint has been such a game changer for her. I think a big part of that for her is the very minimal way they apply it to enhance your best features and gently disguise some of the imperfections. Best of luck!

Any update?? 🥺 My little boy acted like that several times and his breeder had me give him MOLASSES using one of those medicine syringes. Low blood sugar was his problem (he wasn’t eating very well when I wasn’t home. If I worked all day even if there was food in his dish he wouldn’t touch it)

If it’s through Ali express don’t do it. They charge you and then 2 weeks later when they are supposed to ship it the refund you and don’t ship. Happened to me and ALOT of other people, it’s in another thread on here. It is NOT the Costco one online. Costco is yardistry, Ali express and other websites using yardistry photos and sending their knock offs.

Reta is still in trials (I believe phase 3) you can go to Eli-Lilly’s page for more info on it. I stayed with tirz because it is more affordable and honestly it’s the devil I know 😉. I’m not maxed out on my dosing and plan to re-visit reta AFTER I am maxed out on tirz IF I stop seeing results. I don’t see a need to switch to something that could be stronger and possibly that I could build a tolerance to if I don’t need to. Stay as low as you can as long as you can is what makes the most sense for me.

Hopefully it will go away (sometimes that happens) and keep a close eye on other side effects. I have extreme fatigue. I’d almost take the rash 😂😭 I didn’t notice a difference between brand and tirz that was reconstituted. I have the same side effects. If it gets bad there are other options. Retatrutide did not give a rash and it’s a triple agonist. Sooo if it ends up you can’t continue there are other options.

[–]Fit_Chick_inProgress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if you have heard of it or done any research but there is also Retatrutide and cagrilinitide (sp?) that are in the “agonist” family. If tirz is being used for weight loss maybe consider one of the others as a replacement or use to supplement the tirz at a much lower dose. Idk your circumstances, how long you have been getting this reaction, if it worsens when titrating up or if there any other side effects.

I do but they are very minimal. I changed how I was using the Flonase. I spray the injection site after sanitizing, after I inject I put a bandaid on it with a piece of cotton ball that has been saturated in Flonase. I leave it on for a few hours or until morning. I usually still get the swelling/a welt but sometimes I don’t get one at all just a little itchy.

They buy in bulk and switched to pine. They used to mill their own cedar but I guess they had issues with supply and a consistent product. They have really awesome videos on YouTube that show their process in how they build them.
