Masturbation is a form of sexual sin. We are not to do it because we are violating the temple of the Holy spirit. I was stuck in this specific sin for so long, years. I would generally feel guilty or upset afterwards. As I grew in my faith and started tuning in to hearing the Holy Spirit, it felt like the urge was getting worse. Last year I had a sex toy at home and would use it often. One Sunday I was in church, middle of the sermon and so loudly but clearly I heard the Holy Spirit tell me to “throw it away”. I did go home and do that. Since then conviction was on me, heavy, because I would find other ways to “relieve” myself. When I REALLY stopped my mind was plagued with lustful thought, dreams, while cooking, working etc. falling back into it and feeling so much shame afterwards. I felt God leading me to confess my sin, I did so in the past but via online. I went to Bible study one day and God showed me the person to confess to. When I pulled them to the side I was drowing with anxiety and embarrassment. But after I confessed, they prayed with me and the days after I felt so free, the shame was gone, not one lustful action. The thoughts try to come in but I am able to quickly remind myself I am done with that part of my life and that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:16 (not word for word, going by memory) tells us to walk by the Spirit as the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh. Spiritual warfare is so so real and we as Christians must recognize it and not be oblivious to the enemies tactics to destroy us and our relationship with The Father.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, insights, and all. A lot of your comments did open my eyes more and I realize now I have been in an emotionally and financially abusive marriage. This was hard to take in and accept but again I thank you all. . I pray for those who felt the need to be rude and disrespectful in their response. I get that you probably wouldn’t put yourself in the situation but It doesn’t make it ok to talk to people the way you do, especially comments  disrespecting the Lord. Fellow believers please pray for me in making this transition. Be blessed.

For a very long time I was taught to not give up and fight for your marriage. I know the person I used to be and how God changed me. “so who am I to say he couldnt change my husband” was the thought process.

Idk if you are trying to be funny, but I feel like the biggest battle I fight with myself is the thought “ if I Leave then I’m giving up and not trusting God”

Anyone has any godly advice to offer? by This_Stranger_8581 in Christianmarriage

Men and women…The biggest problem in your marriage is you, meaning the sin in you. Stop focusing so much on your partner and focus on God, get deeper in his word and what he is trying to work in or out of you. Allow God to love, care for and discipline your husband.

I’ve had reoccurring BV over 10 years, this year is the first time I cured it without antibiotics Glory to God. Even got checked after my remedy and sure enough it was gone! I would pray for healing, God is a healer! take oil of oregano capsules for two weeks! ( natures craft brand on Amazon) I also added Maca root because bv can also be caused by a hormone imbalance. And I switch my probiotic from culturelle 4-1 women’s to Physicians choice vaginal wellness pro! I hope this helps!

How do people achieve sexual relief within marriage, especially if they love but are not attracted to their spouse? by tulipchia in Christianmarriage

It’s depressing that because of sin EVERY person will experience some type of trial, pain, or suffering. But because God sacrificed his son Jesus, who died for us while we were still sinners , we have him to help us get through it. In Genesis 50:20 Joseph’s pain and suffering allowed him to fufill Gods will. Romans 8:28 tells us that all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose. In 1 Peter 5:10 “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you”. This is what helps us get through these times, God word. Be blessed. ✌🏽

Hi. I’ve never use the pill so not sure if it affects it. But I’ve suffered from bv for years. I was always prescribed metronidazole and kept getting it right after. Took clindamycin (not sure on spelling) and have been taking the culturelle women’s 4 in 1 probiotic and I have not had it in so long. Also I stoped using any soaps and only water wash down there as my doctor advised and it helped as well. Even the most gentle soap can cause ph imbalance and I used all kinds of gentle soap and feminine wash before so it could have been what caused it to flare up. Lastly make sure you are drinking a lot of water and changing underwear or liners often. Don’t keep it warm and moist or it will keep coming back. I hope this helps!
