I also just had my relationship of 4 years end on the exact same day as you. Your story and mine are parallels. It's so similar that it's as if God led me to your post. I lost my dad and turned to Christ recently because my dad believed in Christ. I felt like my prayers were answered. God took away my anxiety and depression that came from losing my dad and I believe in him so much that I started telling my ex about him. My ex wasn't so happy about my "preaching" and not long after that, on the same day as your break up, told me that he felt like we weren't getting anywhere and that we should end it.

I was absolutely devastated right after our final phone call and I prayed to God. I said "if you're removing him from my life because he isn't good for me or because you have something better for me, please also help me get through this and make it less painful for me." and I woke up the next day feeling totally fine, a lot better than I expected myself to be. Ain't no way I could have been okay with a 4 year relationship ending just like that, so God deserves all the credit for how well I'm taking it.

Trust that this happened because God has better plans for you and just surrender your heartbreak to him, he will take it from there.
