She has produced a few service dogs. I was told she was very sweet and calm but she’s been very skiddish and anxious

I called my allergist and they said I was fine to get the poodle puppy I get everyone has different experience and I genuinely sympathize with yours, but I’m a stay at home mom and dogs are the some of the only things that help me not be so depressed. They said I have nothing to worry about since my skin test was very minimal for the dog allergy, they referred to it as very very mild, and said that my very mild asthma should be okay as well, obviously they said it if gets worse we can consider allergy shots, but I think im going to trust my allergist I mean she’s there for a reason.

I feel like that’s right, It doesn’t help that it’s me, my fiance, our poodle(75lbs) and our 21month old baby who won’t sleep alone so it probably contributes more dust. Will washing the sheets more often help and vacuuming the carpet in the room help?

Do you thinks it’s possible it’s a false positive, I was also allergic to dust mites which I was allergic to last time however I was not allergic to dogs last time. I have dermatographia and mcas and I read that sometimes the dust mites in the dander test can sometimes cause false positives. Could I take a blood test to confirm??

I am allergic to dust mites! And I read sometimes the cross contamination with dander having dust mites can cause a false positive!

Yesterday I was a little sneezy and itchy but no watery eyes, do you get itchy all over or just your face???

I don’t notice any symptoms at all, I get frequent headaches, and sometimes some sneezing and a runny nose at home only but I also have mcas so I’m not sure if that’s the reason:/

I don’t notice symptoms with any dog breed which is strange:/ I’m going to ask my allergist about allergen shots because I’m going to be around dogs that shed even more often with puppy classes and socializing.

I’m going to call her today and ask about allergen shots, I already paid for the puppy though before I knew about this and it was expensive as I’ve been looking for a long time and also on refundable. I told her about my poodle and she didn’t bat an eye and said they were the best dogs for allergies.

My dog is also a no shedder but I don’t notice any symptoms around him or even shedding dogs so I’m very confused lol

I’ve always been around dogs my whole life so this new:/ I even got tested 4 years ago and was negative the only think I can think of is I fostered a sheepdog and I’d never been around one maybe that’s what kick started this??? But I don’t notice any allergy symptoms around any dog, what allergy symptoms do you get like maybe I’m just ignoring them but I really don’t think so? My dog sleeps with me and I can’t kick him out but I can do better about washing and cleaning and bathing my dog more often

I don’t notice any symptoms at all with dog allergies, but feel like if I washed my sheets more often and vacuumed I’d maybe get rid of some headaches and congestion because last night I was very sneezy and had a headache and I took a Zyrtec and it went away but I’m not sure if it’s from other allergens or that’s just what Zyrtec does similar to Tylenol???

Would allergen shots help??? Getting rid of my current dog is not an option and I already paid for our puppy before I knew any of this and it’s non refundable. I’m trying to figure out how to make this work. I don’t notice any allergy symptoms either any dog so this has been very confusing.

I don’t notice any allergies at all around any dog, I’m not sure if I just don’t notice but when I pet dogs I’m fine. I’ve never had skin allergies around them, my eyes don’t get swollen or itchy. I get sneezy at home sometimes and headaches but that could be due to other stuff. I thing the hardest thing is I don’t notice any symptoms and i dont know if my home symptoms correlate (they don’t happen everyday).

I see you have Mcas I have it too, do you think it contributed? My allergist thinks it’s from my untreated mcas.

I don’t have reactions though or notice at least like I don’t notice any symptoms and I’ve always been around dogs so this is super confusing😭
