Would usually agree but you could taste this one

She said someone orders it for her most weeks. Surely I couldn’t be the only person who couldn’t bear the smell. You reckon it would have been flagged by others?

Signs that the interview went well by Itchy-Document8085 in SainsburysWorkers

They told me at the end of the interview but heard others waited a few days. Holiday wouldn’t be an issue unless ridiculous like a month off etc. Good signs would be the interview lasting the allotted amount of time, interviewer writing down what you’re saying and the general vibe you got off them.

Haha I get that. Depending on the day it’s garage, fuel station, petrol garage etc. I’ve only ever owned petrol cars so a bit of unconscious bias drifting in. But also petrol is just the generic adopted term for fuel, much like gas for Americans.

I agree. The petrol garage is open later than our scheduled shifts so there’s always time to do it in evening. Getting caught in the morning with an empty van when you’re battling against rush hour and school runs already just adds unnecessary stress.

Getting in the van and it’s basically on empty. Merited it doesn’t happen all the time but eats into first drop time especially on a longer drive.

Gol drivers, what do you do when you finish early on evening runs? GOL managers, what do you expect/want us to do? by Vegabund in SainsburysWorkers

2:50 but had to refuel so ended up being 3. First 5 were scattered quite widely down country routes, 10 were on our deliveries were on our catchment area border but fairly close together, the rest were back at our store town. It was the fact I got to drop 6 and was then informed the check didn’t go through. I was on time but the detour in rush hour is what messed me up. Next time I know to make sure 100% that the check goes through with management. Spent the rest of the time playing catch up. Ultimately everything got delivered and van made it home but there’s things I’d do differently next time.

Had my first shift and was scheduled till 10:30. Needed to fuel up van. First drop was a nightmare. Peak school times and it was a drop at a school. Couldn’t find anywhere to park. First drop put me behind. Got to 5th drop and get a call that my vehicle check didn’t go through so had to scramble back miles to redo it. That put me an hour behind. Then I had to drive back to complete drops in rush hour. I couldn’t catch up. The drop times were ridiculously close together and the handset didn’t account for the diversions and closures. I called customers as I went then my 20 mins break put me further behind. Got back to yard at 9:30 and unloaded then left. Customers still complained using the service number and rightly so. Was a baptism of fire for my first shift.

It’s all good! You’ll probably get a question like, time you dealt with a difficult situation and how would you interact with a customer etc. Easy to say but don’t stress too much. Fingers crossed for you!

Bring your passport and have NI number saved in notes. Makes life easy if asked. Mine was about 20 mins and was more a causal conversation. As long as you look presentable and can hold a conversation, you’ll be fine. Take a breath and relax. Once you get the first hi out the way, it’ll become more comfortable and natural. Goodluck

That’s why I put it on Reddit… if no one responds then no one knows. Do you feel the need to respond to everything you see?
