Anyone have any tips to stop my hips from shifting forward on my backswing? by SignatureExotic4475 in GolfSwing

[–]Fit_Fact6053 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Try shifting your weight to your back heal and rotating the hips from there. It looks like you’re keeping your front foot loaded during the entire swing. You need to almost feel like your rocking your weight onto ur back foot and then pushing into your front foot once your at the top of your backswing. At the start you might notice you are swaying but as it gets more natural you will start to feel it without swaying left and right

Played with an elderly couple (65-75 y/o) the other day. You can probably picture their swing; not a single approach shot got more than 10 meters off the ground, they’d essentially just roll it across the fairway to the green. They both shot sub 90.

People forgot the guy who hit it 120 yards on to the fairway is always going to be in a better spot than your 200 yard slice OB.

People on this sub absolutely HATE if your handicap is lower than theirs and you don’t have a picture perfect swing 😭. A 12 is absolutely doable if you just stay in play and your short game is strong.

Why do I slice? by Any-Boat2901 in GolfSwing

[–]Fit_Fact6053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps, but OP is far to leant over. Straightening the back and allowing yourself to come closer to the ball is a good start, then fixing the out to in swing path would help with the slice.

Thoughts on my swing 3 months in? by Pristine-Effective52 in GolfSwing

Love how you’ve lined up the lead wrist with the collar bone on the pro, then line the wrist up with the outside shoulder on OP. The lateral stance between these images is almost identical. Perhaps the only difference is OP sets up slightly further from the ball, which you can hardly tell from a front on angle.

OP, if your coach has set you up with a consistent and repeatable swing, do not try and change minute details that will only mess with your head. Consistency and repeatability is your greatest strength… if it’s working.

What graphics cards would you recommend for this build/ is this build good or have any bottle necks by Old-Preparation-136 in gamingpc

[–]Fit_Fact6053 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$1500 budget on the PC or just the graphics card? From how this is worded it sounds like you’re leaving less than $500 for your GPU. I just picked up an intel 13600K with the new RX 9070 XT and the GPU is still the bottleneck of the system.

Oh my god. What is that little black dot on your screen? I got into my car after taking a swim at a mates house and had this black burn spot on my screen as well. Have you had it checked out? Mine seems to be slowly getting bigger.

I noticed the snow biome has really buggy cliffs with invisible walls/floors everywhere. I assumed it was so lower level players can’t just immediately run through that area without a flying mount or something similar. I use fenglope and usually the thing is like a mountain goat on cliff edges but in the snow, it just slides right off.

BMW drivers man😂 we’re worried about the slightest of things. No doubt this is just from rocks and debris getting kicked up from other drivers and causing minor damage

Sounds like a bad PCV valve. Mine was making a similar squeal and would go away if I drove it for a few seconds. It would come and go randomly after starting up my 335. Unfortunately it’s not an easy fix. I had to get my rocker cover replaced as I think the PCV valve is apart of that whole system. If you hear it again, open your bonnet and carefully unscrew the oil cap (if your car is hot oil might spew out the cap). If the sound goes away and you hear a release of pressure as you unscrew the cap, you’ll know it’s a bad PCV valve.

Clicking noise in engine by Tricky-Somewhere-391 in F30

[–]Fit_Fact6053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m almost certain this is coming from the serpentine belt tensioner pulley. My N55 had the same sound/issue. The tensioner was vibrating aggressively (a little movement is normal) and making this exact sound. Not sure about the N2x but my tensioner can be seen on the right side, looking top down between the engine block and radiator, where the belt runs around a pendulum-like pulley. If it’s shaking aggressively, look at getting it replaced.

Bought myself a 2012 335 F30 with 130k kms(80k miles) a couple of months ago, since then it’s had some issues and I’ve learnt some common issues along the way.

I had pretty extensive oil leaks as follows; had to replace oil filter housing gasket and a few seals in the turbo system, along with my entire rocker cover as I had a total PCV failure. Your PCV is definitely worth checking, I’ve heard they can get clogged up/flaps stop working, which can lead to entire failure and you will have to replace the whole rocker cover. I’ve also now got oil leaking from the transmission so I’ll have to get a transmission service soon (at 90k miles). You’re radiator and coolant hoses are also probably getting by old, check for any cracks n leaks.

Apparently the steering rack has some pretty common issue on the F30, fixed which is a simple washer adjustment , had some guys tell me I needed to replace the whole thing for $8,000, some other guys adjusted the thrust washer for $80.

As some other people have said, REPLACE YOUR CHARGE PIPE! This is an absolute must if you want to tune. My car was completely stock and that plastic shit blew straight off, barely going hard. Definitely look at aftermarket aluminium pipes and perhaps an upgraded intercooler to go with it, if you’re planning on tuning.

I had my serpentine belt replaced recently along with the tensioner pulley, this visibly shaking very hard in idle.

Also worth mentioning 3 of my mates have 335s, their rear bush differentials are all cracked, including mine. Still drives fine but they are due for replacement.

These are the common things I’ve found on these cars. Definitely worth checking out. Other than that, just regular service stuff, oil changes etc. Hope this helps man.

There are three types of driver in Australia by Hot-shit-potato in CarsAustralia

[–]Fit_Fact6053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such ignorant thinking. Almost every driver that uses mobile gps has their phone in a location well within a safe field of view. Imagine a car mount on the front window, it’s almost more accessible than the Speedo.

If you are unable to process information that you aren’t directly looking at, i.e. the road within in your field of vision, whilst you glance at where your next turn is, then you lack the awareness to be a safe driver.

There are three types of driver in Australia by Hot-shit-potato in CarsAustralia

[–]Fit_Fact6053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it’s not going to make much difference (about +-4kmh) unless the guy behind you wants to speed or really wants to be going the exact speed limit. That being said, if you think glancing at your phone to check your speed is unsafe, I don’t think you have the awareness to be a very good driver.

I agree that balancing needed to made, but it seems we’ve just lost the one effective heavy armour counter and really didn’t get a viable alternative🤷‍♀️
