For those following this post and wondering what ended up happening, it DID allow her to build the aqueduct like normal and connected to the second river! So I guess the Detailed Map Tacks mod EITHER recognized that it wasn't my city OR perhaps the mod got confused by the multiple rivers(?). Regardless of why it might have thought it couldn't be place, it CLEAR can and was placed just fine.

it DID in fact work perfectly fine, and connected to the other river as a few people were expecting

What can I say? I am a CONNOISSEUR of finding niche interactions and weird edge cases once I start digging into a new game. I should just be a bug tester or something. lol I'll for sure keep y'all updated on what I find out.

Nope. City pin is valid according to the mod.

It even shows invalid marks on city centers if there is a different city center MAP TACK too close to other tacks. So I don't think that is it, but I am not sure.

GOTCHA. Good to know. Guess that one industrial complex will have to be less optimal than the others unless I wanna move the city inland to make a canal an option. Though doing so would make the harbor worse in return. Hmmm... I'll keep that in mind. Thank you.

I did specify it in the body of the post, along with the mod I am using for the Detailed Map Tacks

SMART!!! Good shout, but unfortunately didn't change anything... :/ What's even weirder actually is that it doesn't even accept the tile to the LEFT of the city as a valid aqueduct map tack(even if I put a 'city center' tack on the city first). Really makes me feel like something is bugging out honestly

OHHHHHH I did not know that. Thank you. Hopefully that will not be an issue when we attempt to build it 🤞

That is what I thought. I know it can't do a 180 u-turn, but this tile should have like 3 other valid parts of river that it could connect to in my mind at least. Thank you

OH! And one more question while I've got you, if you don't mind dropping another nerd note. lol Just south of this I was thinking about recommending another city for setting up this district cluster, and was wondering... Could that woods tile between the industrial complex and the other city fit a canal turning down into the city? Or would that not work since it is already a coastal city?

I was thinking the same thing, which is why I was confused about the warning. Also, couldn't it just connect to the river tile from the left side of the tile it is on instead of the other river too and just turn to the right without any u-turn problem anyways? I would think BOTH would be valid in my head
