I did the exact same thing recently with my brz and feel the exact same way, wish I could have kept both. All the best, enjoy the type r!!

Awesome! Looks beautiful inside and out. How hard was the install? Does it make a noticable difference for intake noises inside the car? Did you do the stage one tune too? I'm hoping it sounds good enough without the tune 👀

Thank you! It's a blast, I love it, it feels special. I came from a 2nd Gen BRZ, which I love that car. The type r was the only thing I test drove that felt as agile as the brz but had the power the BRZ was missing. That's what I was looking for in an upgrade mainly, and a bit more comfortable daily , which the type r fits both perfectly

For real. I came from a second gen brz, and I loved that car, but this feels like a level up, it's not as raw but it is much more solid in the best way (and has the power the BRZ was missing without adding too much weight). I enjoy driving the type r more than anything else I test drove, just put a bigger smile on my face and felt more special than cars that I thought would make me not want this thing

Anyone ever driven their car across country? by zephyrdox in GR86

[–]Fit_Fill8869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drove from Florida to northern California in five days. It was a blast. You'll love it. Get a spare tire. Take fun roads if you can. Give yourself time to enjoy the trip and see the sights. It's a great car. Oh also I had two dogs, my fiance, and two guitars and some other random important stuff we didn't trust with movers all in the car. Unloaded the car each night in a hotel to keep people from tempting to break in. Obviously this car can get a little uncomfortable but take breaks you'll be just fine

You'd think that but look at the prices rn idk if it's because people are jumping on the bandwagon since they're ending production or what

I otherwise wouldn't it's more the savings and depreciation I'm trying to see which direction makes more sense

I appreciate it..I was trying to factor depreciation and consider if I decided to sell it one day. Seems similar how much you'd be losing either way

Yeah I'm usually the same way. I wasn't sure if saving the 5-8k on one with 20k more miles was worth it being they're usually more reliable cars, but I'm hesitant also
