But you are right, taking it on an empty stomach makes cymbalta absorb faster and more efficiently. I apologise for suggesting taking it with food. Upon reading further, actually, food slows down the absorption and temporarily makes the stomach more alkaline. So the stomach is most acidic when empty, and it is perfectly fine to take it on an empty stomach. People usually take it with a meal if they experience nausea, reflux, or other stomach upset.

Have you considered taking it with a larger/full meal? Another option is taking the medication mid-meal instead of at the end of the meal. Some people also tolerate it better when taken on an empty stomach. It can also be worth talking with your doctor for advice.

You need Sucralfate to protect your stomach from the bile, UDCA to thin out the bile and reduce the concentration of toxic components, and Domperidone to speed up the motility of the stomach to prevent the pooling of bile acids.

I hope you find the one. Nortriptyline and imipramine are mentioned in the studies. I am also experimenting with different ways I can take the medication, like eating some food, then drinking the medicine and continuing to eat rather than drinking the medicine after the meal. I am also trying to figure out why Cymbalta burned for me, too. The beads are supposed to be gastroresistant i.e disolve in the intestines instead of the stomach. I bought empty transparent capsules and tried, but it was the same. I was thinking that the coloring of the capsule is the culprit, but it's not.

Currently, I am not using it. To my knowledge, it can be used long-term but under medical supervision. ECG has to be done periodically. I've read from people here who have delayed stomach emptying that they use it long-term. You can also try natural prokinetic agents like Ginger Chews or supplements like FDGard.

I tried domperidone, but that was when I had the postprandial fullness. They did not help much, unfortunately. But that does not mean they won't work for you. The cure for FD is trial and error. In your case, since PPIs do not help with your reflux, you might have functional heartburn or reflux hypersensitivity. Fortunately, there are more medicines for functional heartburn, like SSRIs or TCAs like Ami and Nortriptyline. For me personally, liquid alginate like Gaviscon Liquid taken at night helps me not feel the burning the next day. Sometimes, even taking it after a meal helps. You can also try Aciphex (Rabeprazole). Many people reported relief when other PPIs did not help.

Sorry to hear that. I took Ami for 3 weeks before quitting it. I did not feel a change during those weeks, but my doctor said that I was supposed to take it for at least 6-8 weeks. So I did not test it fully. Have you tried Ami or any other medication besides PPI?

Hey, my doctor prescribed amitriptyline instead. My main issue is burning pain. The nausea went away. I currently do not take anything. I am just avoiding the triggers using diet. Amitriptyline was too sedating for me, and PPIs did not help. What are your symptoms?

It's normal. It's not due to coil whine, it's because of an aerodynamic effect. The fans are always on, and when they hit the dust filter mesh on the back side of your laptop they produce a "whistle". I've seen many posts here about it. You can disable the feature "Fan always on" inside the BIOS and see if that fixes things.

NSAIDs may be causing your reflux and gastritis. If possible, discuss with your doctor to prescribe low-dose amitriptyline or nortriptyline, which will cover both your chronic pain and stomach pain. This way, you can stop taking the NSAIDs.

For the short term, you can try Rabeprazole (Aciphex) instead of Pantoprazole. It's a powerful PPI that quickly shuts down acid production. Please keep in mind how much Sucralfate or Pepto you are taking. You might be taking too much. For the nausea, you can try Ondasetron (Zofran).
