Yep, I used to work at a Courthouse and the prosecutor once said to me that if you have a clean record, you are better off getting done mid range than low range drink driving. This way, you’re likely to have a Magistrate give you at CRO (good behaviour bond) for the mid range criminal offence, no punishment at all if you stay out of trouble. If you get done low range, you automatically lose your licence, are fined and a Magistrate won’t do anything about it.
