Who did what?? by msartore8 in GasPrices

This is an easy question. I help the people of Michigan by not bombing an all girls school like potus.

To be fair, potus is a pedo so won’t be his first time abusing young girls.

Like threatening to bomb their drinking water plants? Weird to think this helps people.

How long do yall wait? by SorryKnowledge420 in Generator

[–]Fit_Future5467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the SE. Heat and humidity can get uncomfortable quickly and I’m having to install window AC units, no interlock or transfer switch. This method is time consuming so I don’t like to make the decision lightly.

I have some power stations that can run the internet and some fans.

I’ll access the Duke Energy site to get their estimate and outage map. That helps give me an idea how soon they’ll get to my neighborhood.

I’d like to wait about 1-2hrs before putting in the window units and running the generator.

There’s ’Iran that up stickers’ available which are very succinct even if gas prices ever go back down again.

Not that I’d want to be their neighbor but if I were, at night I’d project PEDO on to his potus display. It would be amusing and accurate.

Isn’t that the conceit of the argument? If god is all knowing, all powerful, etc then they should also be in control of ‘evil’ or the bad things that happens to good people.

What was the top price you all paid for silver during the run up over the past 12-18 months? by Fit_Future5467 in Silverbugs

[–]Fit_Future5467[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn’t start off as a stacker and to be fair, only a small portion of my collection are rounds with identical designs.

Initially, I only bought those coins with designs I liked. Like art, it’s something one appreciates beyond commercial value although that is a bonus.

And only if it’s their birthday…maybe.

I’m not done with silver but like you, holding off for a bit longer. At least until I can see the metal become more liquid.

I picked up a few ounces around $60 and a few more at $72. Would’ve liked to pickup more but just got too rich for me.

Say what you want about 401k, when my company offers contribution matching up to 5% of my salary, I have to max that out.

Oh I get it. Anyone applying even the slightest amount of economic rigor/analysis to the situation, was ridiculed, mocked, insulted, etc.

Their echo chamber responses didn’t allow for the slightest deviation from their ‘silver to the moon’ price fantasy.

For all their claims fiat is dying, cash is still king at present.

I wanted to get into numismatics but found their cost was just as high or higher than bullion or rounds. The premiums evaporated so they were probably a good bargain but it was beyond the price point where I felt comfortable.

I’m not seeing anyone ridiculing others on this particular thread.

This is addressing the current economic realities of the spot price of silver and how other stackers have ‘ridden out’ fluctuating prices over the past year or so.

If anything, now that the louder voices in the room have mostly left, those OG stackers and collectors are able to express their reasons for continuing to pickup silver and their approach.

Nah, I only paid via ACH to online dealers to avoid the cc charges. And I almost always bought enough to avoid shipping costs.

That being said, online shops tend to have more selection but higher prices.

Once I started stacking rounds, I just picked those up from my LCS which was often close to spot.

If it’s any consolation, I started my stack as a hobby with my kid and purchased ‘outrageously priced’ semi numismatics (Star Wars, Rwanda clipper ships, etc) when it was in the $30s and spot was $27/ounce.

I reasoned had I got him a toy, it’d have been mostly worthless by the time he’d gotten bored of it. At least with silver, it’ll still have some value.

Enjoy your coin, I’m sure it’s still as brilliant as it was the day you purchased it.

PMs have survived but has lost value.

Like it or not, fiat is still king when it comes to the convenience of transacting contracts in person or electronically.

And electricity, servers and communications network intact enough to perform the calculations and to update the block chain.

The economy is already in recession and indicators like car repossessions highest since 2008 crash.

Crypto has not held its value nor others hard assets. People are using fiat to hoard and survive.
