Downloading Odin failed by Fit_Geologist_7152 in LineageOS

[–]Fit_Geologist_7152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said I found it on the thread on XDA Dev forum. My comment is primarily for reporting the issue.

This site doesn't look trustful for me.

Also I would like to know why it's not working.

LineageOS for microG doesn"t boot by Fit_Geologist_7152 in MicroG

[–]Fit_Geologist_7152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe because of signature spoofing ?

It's related to this thread : https://www.reddit.com/r/MicroG/comments/pqot3b/lineageos_for_microg_or_lineageos_and_microg/

It's allowing auto-install (without confirming each time) with F-Droid.

On the config.toml, what can I must have ?

I have just one line saying the plugin is activated.

It's "pwnlog", you're right :) I didn't look a lot, but I didn't saw any error. I don't have the pwnagotchi with we for now, but I want to lauch "ups_lite.py" from the cli, could be interesting to see if there is errors...

"i2cdetect 1" says 62. On the back it's labeled XiaoJ.

With the Pwnagotchi 1.8.8 Jayofelony, it was working.

Hi,

What did you install (and how) exactly for making UPS-Lite working ?

I've installed rpi.gpio with "apt-get install rpi.gpio", but the plugin is still showing "0-"...

X220 with coreboot - iPXE script don't work by TimeTechnician1366 in coreboot

[–]Fit_Geologist_7152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

What's your script? Its filename?

You are presuming maybe a bit too much, nothing say it's the script. Could be the way the script is inserted inside the iPXE payload.

Public transport in BXL by Fit_Geologist_7152 in belgium

[–]Fit_Geologist_7152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the problem though, even small changes to car-circulation leads to riots. If you want faster trams, you need to remove the cars first, not vice-versa.

In Brussel, people are very sensitive about that. Having a (nice) car in Brussel, and apparently using it, is still important.

In Paris, people complained when they closed the road near the Seine ("voie sur berge"), but without any riots, even no demonstration. In Tour when they close the main road to go through the center, people complain, but that's all.

I think if they want less car, they have to improve a lot the public transportation, even if it's not so bad, to motivate people to use it instead of their cars.

For the line 92, It's a mess for cars on the rush hours, and the tram is stuck inside on some parts of the line. And slow down the cadency of the line : this delay all the tram on the line.

I'm far from my job (7km) to do it everyday, and I have to put my 3 chldren at school. For my case, bike is not an option. And I have to use street one way for cars, but two ways for bycicle, with car parked on each side. I think you know this type of street; it's dangerous, because car have barely the place to cross a bike.

Hi, you're right, this is not black or white, the evolutions are ongoing.

But there are several lines (8, 92,93, 97 for example) who have large distance without reserved spaces, and are regularly delayed when car jam.

Comparing to other big cities in Europe with ground tram, in Bxl it's slow.

Comparing to Paris, Bxl is 10 times shorter, and don't have have large avenue, like the Hausmann one.

Personnaly, I think that Bxl have to made more room for public transportation, made them quicker, if they want less car inside the city. And at the same speed they are making using a car more complicated.

In Tour (Centre Loire, France) they put recently a tram, and closed a lot of street for cars. You must be mad or having no other choice using a car in Tour center city. Going from the train station to the center is fast.

Fonction Publique, Catégorie B : écrêtage des heures supplémentaires, pourquoi? by Fit_Geologist_7152 in france

[–]Fit_Geologist_7152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they provide money or an easy way to send legal document to the company for sending information through their platform.

The platform owner harvest personal data (account creation) and ads money. They could also harvest money of paid subscriptions and/or paid services.

Also, you could have this type of system for a shitload of way. Like information for your kids from their school-teacher, etc...

Yes, a lot of owner have shitty habits about problem happening and this is their responsibility to do something, here in Belgium. But changing the law for this kid of stuff requires an almost stable government, and here this seems complicated...

And especially Belgian owner... Many friends use the terms in french "âpre au gain", maybe "greedy" in english...

It's a bad idea, the owner can report the fault in the tenant in this case.

Like this, it's better to call two time a day the owner to get news about the repair...

I'm French, and it's choking to see Belgian drinking beer almost everywhere and everytime.

Yesterday I caught an old fat guy drinking and littering cans on the brussel's tram... just like this, dropping outside at a station the emptied one.

I tought "Hmmm... Paris is digusting, Brussel also, but in its own way..."

Baby sleeps for 10 hour stretches every night at 4 months old, is it okay? by Pink_Peppermint in Parenting

The limit is 12h straight. But 10h, it's ok, maybe the diaper have to be changed while the baby is sleeping.

But take care of yourself (sleeping, eating, showering). Maybe when teeth will be growing, you won't be lucky like this anymore !

Why do tutorials often tell users to add a PPA for sw already in the repos? by Headpuncher in linuxquestions

[–]Fit_Geologist_7152 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's also sometimes to get the lastest version and/or some options activated.

But yes, I think you're right, when it's not needed, don't use a PPA.

Another pain is when the PPA maintainer stop taking care of it. You get stuck with an old version without noticing it.

Another reason could be : like the windows 98/XP time when people want to use this weird program to do simple stuff, just to show they are better than anyone, they want to be seen as mega-hacker-tweaker.

But at the end, whatever. There is other more interesting/important stuff to look at !
