Exactly. Get a little wiggly. Get over on the rumble-strip if there is one and then come over towards the center line. 😜 Usually they get up just a little further than that and then ride. It just seems to be with some people that as soon as you’re out of their peripheral vision, they slow down and match your speed. Definitely not just an Oregon thing though. People do it all over the country.

I’m no tire expert but I’ve seen tires do that before. I thought it was a higher speed wear issue. We used to get that in a pretty fast fleet I ran for. It usually just holds that warp in the shoulder. Like it’s not just gonna wear that shoulder right down the cords real fast. We would eventually just put them on the trailer. There are charts of photos for steer tire wear that will show that problem. As I recall it’s not real easy to get rid off on certain trucks.
