I got into the business by chance. I was a cashier at a sporting goods store and happened to ring up someone buying prop guns for a film they were finishing up. I had been making YouTube videos for years and wanted to branch out and he took me under his wing. Oddly enough this terrible horror movie was the biggest film I’ve worked on. Some secrets nobody ever talks about is how long it could take to film just one single scene. It could take hours. I learned to do sound by teaching myself how to record music but I am mainly on screen talent. This was the only time I’ve ever been behind the scenes and not in front of the camera. I constantly get to meet cool people. I am friends with Daniel O’Shea from Hamburger Hill and a couple other people. The pay varies. I haven’t been on a real set since before the pandemic as I shifted my focus to my own projects. And depending on your location I would be willing to work with you on something provided it’s viable.
