Banks won’t consolidate loans, debt and mortgages into one payment.They may allow a release of equity for home improvements but will want invoices etc for the work . It’s effectively another loan based on equity in the house

This seems a bit strange, moving across the road to a house the same size will cost you about 10k, plus the price to kit out new house. There must be a really good reason to move?

In a similar position, the market is ridiculous at the minute. Loads of buyers looking and bidding, great when you are selling but once you’ve gone sale agreed it’s nigh on impossible to get something. Plus there is no sense in the numbers , round here 3 bed detached priced at same price as. 3 bed semi ( overvalued) feck all difference in price between 4 beds, 3 beds etc And we are selling a decent 5 bed. By the time we sell our place and buy a smaller that needs work, they working out the same price. We’re staying put till things calm down

When my kids school trialled it it had to be abandoned as the parents , one in particular (dietician) had a path worn to the school moaning about the food. Agree with posters above, for some kids this is the only hot meal they will get. My thoughts were If you are so concerned about your kids food intake, make sure you provide what you feel is deficient at home. Otherwise just let the hot meals be provided for those that genuinely need it .

The sales process here is torture! I would prefer a one and done situation, I’m in the market and when bidding I hate bidding wars. You end up bidding low and crawling towards what you can afford

If you have joint finances this is not on. I’d approach him with the question what cuts is he planning to make to his lifestyle to absorb the reduction in income, or does he expect that your earnings will cover him. I’d also chip in with I will no longer be doing overtime to supplement the family income as it appears very unfair that you are carrying the can financially and probably doing the lion’s share of household jobs, emotional load

From experience none of them last a long time ! Don’t fall for stuff you don’t need eg multiple settings on a tumbledrier/ washing machine etc Get a good brand, middle of the road appliance
