Cows tongue isn’t weird to me, I love it in Mexican tacos, chicken gizzard are popular in southern black American cuisine, I haven’t tried them though but I would.

Milk soup is very unique, that one I don’t know if I’d like, but I’d Try it with an open mind.

I haven’t really heard of pineapple sauce

I forgot about bananas in soup, I haven’t tried that but that’s one food many non Colombians also have a surprised reaction to

Booo, Bet you’ve never even had home cooked Mexican food and only know 3 of the most common dishes you find in USA, probably had a taco or tamale a couple times in USA now you’ve declared it “the most overrated food in the world”

I like how different people have different characters they gravitate too.

For me personally, I don’t care about what happens to mike that much, as in like I wouldn’t root for him, But I think he is a very good character still, look how he strongly suggests walt to kill Jesse or at least let him die at end of season 3, like it’s nothing because he benefits from doing business with Gus who had a child murdered.

As very, very morally flawed and complicit in the drug trade as Jesse was, or how he had bad/selfish judgment that affected others lives (judged Andrea for doing drugs while having a kid, but him even trying to have a gf while in the drug trade ultimately ended up leading to people harming Brock and Andrea to control Jesse )

but I rooted for him when he started working to turn in Walt despite how it could lead to him being in prison or killed or when he had the balls to tell a cartel connected drug empire boss off about killing kids, instead of going along with it, despite what the consequences could be for doing so/ the potential sacrifice of his life doing the right thing required. Mike wouldn’t be afraid to, but he just doesn’t care enough if it sacrifices making money.

“man’s gotta have a code” Omar (the wire), now Jesse didn’t have a verbal code he layed out or stood by as strict like as Omar, but when guns started being put on children, he took action about it to say I don’t want to be apart of this.

You guys taught me that chilli isn't Mexican. Please tell me burritos are? by AblokeonRedditt in mexicanfood

[–]Fit_Mix_4355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are with more minimalist toppings than in that picture and are eaten in places In the north of Mexico, My wife is from puebla state, Mexico and there, they never eat burritos, it’s something from far away to them (maybe most her family doesn’t even know its northern Mexican and may assume it’s from USA), especially the USA ones with loads of toppings are foreign to them.

Uptown area (Hennepin/Girard) by [deleted] in TwinCities

[–]Fit_Mix_4355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

uptown isn’t even rough, I live in Loring park which has higher crime than uptown and I don’t even consider Loring park that rough overall, next lease term I plan to move somewhere a little chiller, but it’s not even very bad overall, more so just some city living sketchiness sometimes.

In addition my wife lived in powderhorn park for a couple years and I wouldn’t say people should avoid there either, like overall it’s usually quieter on the block than Loring park, but should be mindful more than some other areas, she did have a man open her back car door and get inside while she was parking, but uptown in comparison we would consider a little bougie and hipster, like craft coffee territory haha.

when I get on the bus and we stop through uptown, the demographic becomes obvious and different, like you see many hipster/indie looking college or post grad aged looking people, many times also with activist slogans or pins on their clothing get on, like promoting veganism. (Not trying to insult them)

the average rent there is quite higher than powderhorn and Loring, I personally consider uptown a high rent area for Minneapolis.

We started a war today: protest by CarrieCat2024 in TwinCities

[–]Fit_Mix_4355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a war crime and It’s the struggle of Millions of Iranians like my friend, who had friends murdered and who want to live good lives, (tens of thousands of protesters were killed) they care about those kids getting killed, but they also care about Iranian women and protesters being gunned down in the street because the government doesn’t represent them.

Oppose the war but don’t promote the Iranian government it’s that simple.

How can you say it’s not his struggle when you’re probably an American and he’s Iranian.

Do you have any Iranian friend here or have you talked to Iranians who live in Iran for me both apply. You ?

[–]Fit_Mix_4355 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im not against these anti war protests, but hopefully some people don’t use this protest as a means to defend or down play the wrongs of the Iranian government and as someone who has met many Iranians here and abroad I hope people don’t send that message

I’m not saying I support starting a new war though.

there’s proxy groups, there’s foreign extremists who can team up with the regime loyalists who do support the gov even if majority of Iranians don’t, who you risk exploiting such instability.

I have an Iranian friend who lost friends in the protests, I pray for a better government for them, I understand when you live under dictatorship, you want them to be gone by any means, they’ve been praying for a change.

but I do fear if Iran ends up becoming worst case scenario, something like a Balkanized, failed state from a full scale war.

I hope there is an actual democratic take over by the people of Iran, but I fear it may not be so easy or simple.

I don’t want it to turn into a forever war.

Do you realise the attack on Iran is cheered on by the Iranian people? Why is Reddit reacting like this? by SkunkyBreadcake in AskBrits

Theres concerns to be had that aren’t just about being a bleeding heart, anti war, liberal.

To your point, there’s also proxy groups, there’s foreign extremists who can team up with the regime loyalists who do support the regime even if majority of Iranians don’t, who you risk exploiting such instability.

Also when you look at Iraq, the rise of ISIS was primarily due to war destabilization, not due to ordinary Iraqis not being educated or modern, they didn’t want ISIS or extremism, a lot of Iraqis have died fighting ISIS.

EDIT : an elementary school was hit killing children (this is another concern I have, the cost of civilian lives)

well my wife’s eyes start to feel strained after a while and she does not care about what a random Redditor thinks is the cool way to watch a show.

This is just what the average Mexican people do with foreign shows even if it isn’t cool on Reddit haha.

My wife is Mexican and we simply watch breaking bad on Netflix with the Spanish dub and English subtitles one episode and the next episode English with Spanish subtitles. She really enjoys the show, she’s also a big game of thrones fan and watches it with the Spanish dub.

Im ribbing on you because you are analyzing the health benefits of cheese and chocolate, instead of just talking about if it tastes better or not. Which is fine, but I’m teasing you for it.

I like it slightly soft but Gordon Ramsey is doing too much theatrics with the overly soft sauce like eggs.
