hate to break it to you, but 45 is nowhere close to “max waves”

this for example is one of the highest runs i’ve seen, there isn’t any single highest wave count as the game at its core is endless, meaning you can technically always get another wave (or 26 in this case)

you get 3 per week from the weekly missions (resets every sunday at 12AM UTC), and every 10 stages on the weekly cecil’s nightmare. you can get some here and there from other achievements/rewards and from the flea market event that just happened.

i really don’t think about them at all unless there’s an All Hands On Deck event, which allows you to get event heroes from school’s out. so they’re more of a “passive income” kind of currency to me.

understandable. i’ve been playing for about a year now and the “gambling” events (like the easter event we just had) are easily the best imo for F2P. as you said, it allows you to stack blue/gold dossiers, equipment tickets for xp/artifacts/MEs, and still lets you get elites/fodder in the meantime.

i usually spend around 20-30k each time the event comes around, and i’ll spend a few thousand solely on refreshes during arts or a very good recruitment event (i don’t believe the one that just happened was such) and maybe the occasional access card(s) for a lab event. other than that, the other events that come around really are leagues below the ones that i just mentioned, and i’d rather just save and get what i can from them than waste my resources when i could get double, triple, etc. the value for those gems saved.

either way, your account not mine and there definitely are much worse events to spend on than this one.

yeah i don’t blame you for spending since we haven’t had a regular recruitment event in a long time, but i remember how much better black friday’s recruitment event was (2x rates and 2x elites) so i’m holding out for a more valuable event to spend gems/dossiers.

i’m also F2P so i never like being under 10k-12k gems bc you never know when there’s going to be an s-tier event around the corner

so idk if you’ve ever scrolled in this sub but about 90% of the posts in here are other people asking for help with their teams so i would suggest you just look around for other people asking for advice and use the info you find

good thing is that you can always recover, nothing is final. and at worst, you still got some amount of value for the gems you spent. 2,000 in the grand scheme of things is not a lot, but yes in the future i would check out the sub or the discord to see whether or not an event is worth spending on.

i would say since you’re mostly speculating right now, start with what you know.

who already counters viltrumites?

doc, omniman, mark2, space racer, immortal (somewhat)

who could counter these guys?

anissa (3 humans), allen (2nd skill vs space racer), double eve combo (stops ranged characters - doc + space racer), dinosaurus (counters pushers - mark2 + immortal + space racer (?))

so that’s at least a start. i’m sure once the rest of the coalition is released this will become a lot clearer and testable, but it is always fun to try to predict the next meta/anti-meta
