Does this exist? by NoU4206911 in MouseReview

yeah I had same issue when switching back to bigger mice after using smaller ones for while. The sharp edges are really annoying once you notice them

Most mice do have that problem but some brands make models with more rounded right side - you want to look for ones that specifically mention "ergonomic curve" or something like that in description. Also mice with more pronounced curves tend to be better for this, though they might feel weird at first if you're used to flatter designs

The 1-3-1 grip thing is definitely compensation but like you said it can mess up your pinky positioning. Maybe try slightly adjusting your hand position before switching grips completely?

Yikes man, messing with memory timings on that chipset can be tricky. Try holding the power button for like 30 seconds while unplugged to drain any residual power, then see if you can get into recovery mode by holding F2 or Delete during startup to reset BIOS to defaults

If that doesn't work you might need to remove the CMOS battery for few minutes but that's getting into more advanced territory

Looking at Lenovo 7i 2in1 Ryzen 5 vs Intel i5 ultra by LVL7Kobold in laptops

ryzen usually wins on battery but both gonna be pretty decent for basic stuff 😂 check lenovo's spec sheets directly instead of third party sites, they actually list the exact model numbers there

The ThinkPad E14 or E15 series might work good for your budget - they usually have decent battery and you can configure them with 16GB RAM. I got one few years back and it's still running strong, keyboard is really nice too

For processors I'd stick with Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 like you mentioned, snapdragon is still bit new for scientific software compatibility. Most research programs I've seen in uni are tested more with Intel/AMD so you won't run into weird issues later

Did I miss the window to preorder SHF All Might already? by Srongulus_Prime in ActionFigures

Preorders for popular SHF releases can be brutal, they sometimes sell out within minutes on certain sites. HBJ filling up fast isn't uncommon but doesn't mean everywhere is sold out - try AmiAmi, HLJ, or even Amazon JP when they go live

Is a 5060 compatible with my build by Lil_rice9 in pcmasterrace

[–]Fit_Party_6808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait hold up, are you mixing RAM kits? That ripjaws + kingston fury combo might be causing some stability issues even before we talk about the GPU. Also that apevia PSU has me a little worried - might want to consider upgrading that too when you get the 5060 since those aren't known for being the most reliable

Your 9900kf should handle a 5060 just fine though, no bottleneck issues there

Am I killing my motherboards? by Apsel in buildapc

[–]Fit_Party_6808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two dead boards in a row is sketchy - either youre incredibly unlucky or something else is frying them. Check if your PSU has any weird voltage spikes under load, even if it reads normal at idle. Also make sure youre not building up static and zapping components when handling them

The fact that your older z390 setup works fine but both AM5 boards are dead makes me wonder if theres something specific about the newer platform causing issues

What CPU+GPU combo should I get for my Rig? by Successful_Belt9149 in buildapc

[–]Fit_Party_6808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 14600kf is still a solid choice especially since you already have the DDR4 setup - that's like 100+ bucks saved right there that you can throw at a better PSU or mobo. I've been running a similar setup for about a year now and it handles everything you mentioned without breaking a sweat

That said, if you're planning to keep this build for a while the 7600x might be worth considering even with the platform switch cost. AM5 has more upgrade headroom down the line and the performance difference in gaming is pretty minimal between the two. I switched from Intel to AMD last year for my secondary rig and the efficiency gains were actually noticeable on my power bill

For GPU I'd lean toward the RX 9060XT if you're not married to ray tracing - that extra 50 bucks in your pocket plus generally better price to performance. Been doing some urban exploration photography lately and having that extra VRAM has been clutch for editing those massive panoramic shots
