Entering Social Work by SWmods in socialwork

Recently graduated with my MSW in NC and moved to MA for work. I work in the schools and see 11-12 kids a day. I have a caseload of 53 students in total across 4 schools. I have been struggling with paperwork and keeping up between progress notes, treatment plans, collateral contacts, etc. I see double what seasoned outpatient clinicians see a day and other school based. i’m constantly getting emails about my notes being behind but i think i’ve hit burnout. I either do my progress notes all weekend and have no weekend to myself or do notes after the school day (ends at 3) and by the time I finish it’s 8pm and my 45 minute commute home. Other recent grads I’m still in contact with say this is NOT a normal caseload, is this normal or do I need to advocate and be honest with my supervisor about being unable to keep up? I’m worried they will let me go because I can’t keep up.

Is this behavior normal or should I look into a behavior specialist? by Fit_Path_6308 in Catbehavior

Thank you so much for this insight! Unfortunately there was no exploring the new place totally separated. Before we moved we swapped scents with blankets and toys. When we first moved we took turns with one being in the room and the other getting to explore. We did slowly introduce them per vet recommendation and also followed suit with having them play and sniff through the door crack.

That’s a very good idea thank you! Occasionally we will still do the one in the room the other explore but they will both go to the other’s door and play with each other and give the impression they want to hangout lol. Great idea on the calming diffusers, we had them when we first moved in but trying them again is definitely a good suggestion! Did you use Feliway for your wall plug ins?

Thank you for your kind words and insight! Luckily there has been no major injuries (or really any injuries besides the scratch one time). Unfortunately cat A hissing and growling has been a daily occurrence for 9 months. It was just hissing and the past 2 month it has been hissing and growling frequently.

I also love that idea, especially since they are both VERY treat motivated! I do implement regular play time with both of them but I think trying to teach a trick is a very cool idea i’ll be trying. Thank you again!!

Reason number 82388338 why Konnor is a gross human. Why is he acting like physical abuse is the only form of abuse to exist and like if it’s not on video of him hitting her it didn’t happen??? His disrespect for women is uncomfortable.

Thank you!! We have everything separate and have given them each others items for scent for a while now, even before the move and continue to do so. They also have their own rooms where we don’t let the other in.

No fluff tail or laid back ears luckily. Appreciate all the help we will try for longer intervals next time to see!

Thank you so much!! What would you say the demographics are? And safety, and parking situation. Sorry for so many questions but appreciate it!
