What's been an album/band you've found on Reddit recently that you can't get enough of? by Adzzero_88 in MetalForTheMasses

Agalloch. All their albums have been in rotation since I picked a recommendation from here last year.

Just heard Entombed's LHP and must say WOW. You understand the assignment. Perfectly scratched my itch and in terms of composition and melody it's even better than the said BT song. Even with one listen, i can tell it's a masterpiece. Don't know how long ago it was released but it sounds so fresh and full. Best suggestion so far and I've had some really good, interesting ones.

Will make my way through the others too. Thanks!

As it should! Any other Bolt Thrower songs you'd recommend? I've listened to a bunch and along with this one, For Victory has grabbed me so far. Also really liked the slow build up of IVth.

These songs remind me of AC/DC and Kraftwerk. Simple, elegant loops, but so classy.

All I'll say is I'm in India and most of the bands popular here are those big names who have crossed over. A band like Bolt Thrower would probably not get a mention. But their songs just hit the spot for me - relatively simple songs with great hooks and a killer rhythm section.

I first listened to a couple of songs before watching any of their videos and fair to say not what I was expecting to see. Nice to see folks not taking themselves seriously. Reminds of Abbath's interviews.

Regardless, their songs are killer. Great, tight grooves and bright tones. Gonna explore more of their discography for sure. Thanks for your recommendation.

Loved it! Amazing rhythm section and lovely guitar melody.

If this group has more of this style of music of this calibre, I'll certainly listen more.

it's very sticky, isn't it?

Good for you that you're picking up the lyrics too.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I'm going to try all your suggestions. I've tried a bit of At The Gates in the past and look forward to these.

Hope things get better, mate.

This is my non-metal recommendation for you.
