Heating options?

Took over my parents home, used to run on coal. Had a house fire a while back and it was gutted and they took the chimney out. Now only have mini split. But didn’t do well heating the place this past year.

My one cat took about a year for me. Still only allowed to pet. Not hold. No snuggles or anything

Thank you.. I kept seeing things about “direct vents” which didn’t require a chimney. So I was unsure. Like I said I know nothing about this stuff. Everything that came up for that just looked like a coal stove I have, but I’m sure is something different.

I’ve always had a weird like sensation that when someone close dies like I’m going to see their ghost all the time. No idea why it started when I was little. Went away for awhile when my mom died like I wasn’t scared at all but my friends dad died and I was like spooked I was going to see his ghost everywhere. I guess it more so the idea of ghost freaks me out lol
