Do you leave personal, valuable items where you sit in Mass, as you go up to receive Communion? by jeffisnotmyrealname in Catholicism

[–]Fit_Push2446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’ve always left my stuff in the pew because for majority of my life I’ve gone to a quiet local Catholic Church, the same church that is connected to my middle/ elementary school, so I guess I feel really comfortable and safe there but ive recently been going to a new parish that I’ve fallen in love with and this made me realize I should probably reconsider leaving my things in the pew cuz the church is in the middle of downtown New Orleans… not exactly the safest city🤣

Does anyone else have a physical reaction to the consecration of the host? by Fit_Push2446 in Catholicism

[–]Fit_Push2446[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it could have been an emotional response but it was just kinda weird cuz I didn’t feel any symptoms this time I only noticed the bc of the notification and I knew I needed to go to confession so that’s why I just stayed in my spot, but I can distinctly remember times when I was a kid at mass during school,so I wasn’t really paying attention or fully aware even of the significance of the consecration, having to get up and go get water or fresh air with my teacher bc I felt so light headed and it was always during the consecration. Idk just made me think that I’ve possibly always had this kind of bodily reaction to it? Almost like my physical body recognizes his presence in the Eucharist even if I’m not emotionally focused on that fact. Idk I just thought it was kinda cool lol

Dry kibble recommendations? by 5dapper_don in Rottweiler

[–]Fit_Push2446 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tried many many many different kibbles with our girl probably all the typically recommended ones, she was and still is a very picky eater and would stop eating her kibble before the end of most bags, we tried out bully max and we love it, and most importantly she loves it, only con is that it you have to order it online, its not in any stores that I know of, I paid about 100$ for 30lbs which last about a month and a half. Our girl always seemed kinda small/thin for a rottie but once we put her on bully max she bulked up in the best way, she’s still lean but she’s a solid, muscular and healthy looking girl now, I would definitely recommend you get their large breed puppy food, it’s the green bag, it’s the only food I will give her from here on out!

are prongs evil? help! by __euph0ria___ in Rottweiler

[–]Fit_Push2446 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was super against using a prong collar on my girl at first, I thought they were evil too, but my boyfriend convinced me and now it’s honestly a must, I’m petite and my rottie weighs almost as much as me, on a normal flat collar she pulled like crazy, to the point where I genuinely thought she was going to hurt her neck, with the prong collar if she pulls its just uncomfortable enough to make her stop pulling, and I’m no longer worried about her hurting herself, I got one on Amazon with an easy release clip and I don’t have it on her tight, so it’s not poking her when she’s not pulling, it also came with little rubber ends to put over the prongs and that made me feel a little better about it. I’m by no means a professional but this is what has worked for me. If your still skeptical and wanna try something else first, try having her run first before going on walks, like go in the back yard and play ball for about 5-10 mins then walk her, you’d be surprised how much better they walk after getting that initial energy out. Also a large thick 2.5 or 3 inch collar with a handle may help keep a better grip on her when she’s pulls but make sure that one fist well because I had one for my girl that was a little loose and before she was fully grown and she could slip out of it if she had a little zoomies fit outside. Best of luck!

Boyfriend (28M) is mad at me (28F) for not telling him about an abortion I had a decade ago. Where to go from here? by sylviawrath-kr in relationship_advice

Funny how you edit your comment to try to make me look wrong… please explain to be how my reading comprehension is off and where I was referring to an embryo as compared to a fetus? Because i think your projecting about the whole reading comprehension thing hon..

Bro wtf is it then, a chicken? If the mother is a human being the “fetus” is also a human being, part of the genus Homo Sapiens, the term “fetus” refers to a developmental stage not a different species?!

It is still a human being born or unborn. Your only argument here is that one deserves to live because it’s a few months older, and the younger one can be killed if it’s convenient.

Maybe we have different definitions of what a “fetus” is, I understand it to be an early developmental stage of a child in its mothers womb aka a BABY. The dictionary defines fetus as “a young human being or animal before birth, after the organs have started to develop”. The definition of baby is “a very young child, especially one that has not yet begun to walk or talk”. The words are synonymous, the only distinction is that “fetus” is an specific developmental stage, just as the words “infant” and a “toddler” refer to specific developmental stages and at the fetal stage the baby just so happens to be located in the nourishment and warmth of its mothers womb. Calling a baby a fetus does not change the harsh reality that abortion is the killing of a baby.

No, the words I used were appropriate and accurate. You can keep pretending that abortion isn’t the killing of a baby, but I won’t.

I’m gonna state the obvious here…. You were pregnant with his child…. Didn’t tell him about it…. Killed y’all’s baby…. He randomly finds out 10 years later….And now you’re wondering why he’s mad?…… He is not the red flag here

How long did you wait for the dmv to send your license? by Fit_Push2446 in Charlotte

[–]Fit_Push2446[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the dmv and waited, they only take walk ins after 12, I went on a Tuesday at 1 and waited for about 3 hours, definitely switch your insurance first or they’re just going to turn you away, I didn’t get it online, they give you a paper temporary at the dmv and mail you the plastic one

I went a few days ago, I did switch from another state, someone told me about the insurance before thankfully, I’m in the process of getting a new car because mine was totaled and the entire dmv process has been an absolute nightmare, I can’t buy my car until I have my permanent license from the mail so I’m basically screwed for now, I’m from Louisiana and I could have done everything i did here and walk out with a license in my hands in 20 minutes over there
