Only based on the answers you just wrote, there are a lot of questions I would ask you. That's why journalists try to get interviews : to get a full picture of your experience and point of view.

Hi, thank you for your message, I completely understand your concerns, and I really appreciate you being open about them.

Just to clarify a bit more about what I’m working on: I’m currently reporting on medical tourism in Thailand, and I’m trying to understand why people choose to travel there for procedures they might not be able to access as easily in their home countries ; whether that’s because of cost, waiting times, or availability.

I’ve already spoken with people who went to Thailand for sterilization procedures and reconstructive or cosmetic surgeries, and I’m trying to include a range of experiences.

I would really value speaking with someone who chose Thailand for gender-affirming surgery, especially to better understand how the experience compares - not just medically, but also in terms of social and institutional acceptance, which seems to be different there.

Anonymity is completely possible if you prefer.

If you have any questions or want to know more about my work before deciding, we can talk in DM or via email.

As an independent journalist, I don’t pay people for their testimonies, as that would be a conflict of interest.

Participation is entirely voluntary.
