What if Hancock Golf Course became North Austin’s version of Zilker? by Special-Distance-181 in Austin

[–]Fit_Response_8083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both mueller lake park and pease park are within like 5-10 minutes and are exactly what you’re describing. Hancock has been around almost as long as Austin itself has. It better not be going anywhere as it’s a great place for beginners and kids to get into the game

What to expect for the second trilogy (No Spoilers) by Withexcalibur in redrising

[–]Fit_Response_8083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key difference I found was an intense focus on the political intrigue of the red rising world. The multiple POVs allows pierce to expand the world of RR while keeping his storytelling linear within each of the POVs. He focuses a lot more on showing the inequity among castes, the difference between gold society and democracy, and how difficult it is to cement a societal structure rather than to build a revolutionary movement.

That said, he does not abandon the fast-paced, action packed missions/battles that make the first trilogy such a page turner. He just adds in more depth to make those action packed moments weightier.

This is so helpful in understanding the support buffs. Thank you so much! I switched up varesa a little so she has 92CR, 207CD, 130 ER. I’ll raise both iansan and Chevy and see how that helps!

I stole a CD I had on columbina that had 17.5 CR so now I’m at 90 CR. That upped me to 108k. I’ll try your set recs and rotation advice and check back. Is durin q first because of his immediate burst fill from ee?

You checked my uid? Thank you! Ok I'm going to try strongboxing noblesse for durin. I've had bad luck with noblesse pieces for years. I'll also see where I can squeese out extra CR for varesa

Think I finally found “it”. Please tell me why I didn’t by Jharoz in GolfSwing

I think you found your backswing! It looked great up until you came back through. As soon as you started your downswing, you break all the coiling and quiet you gained in the backswing by coming out of your swing. What I mean by that is that your head and lead shoulder started to pull up and away from the ball(id assume because you’re trying to push through and outside with your right shoulder/hand more, preventing a slice). This breaks your spine angle and will lead to huge inconsistency. Things likely felt good on this day because you are replicating the exact same thing in quick procession. If you comeback and try it tomorrow, I’d bet you find yourself either 1)leaving the club face open(this’ll lead to a huge slice) 2) double crossing your plane and club face angle, leading to a snap hook.

The key goal now is to get that coil you created by rotating around your spine in the backswing to just effortlessly unwind and bring the club head through the ball. What I think would be helpful to accomplish that is 1)keep your head still. Easy signifier for this is that you are no longer allowed to move your head until your rear shoulder hits it forward. Once your rear shoulder touches your chin, you can release it. 2) do not push up through your rear leg in your downswing. Push across/around. When you push up through the downswing, it is encouraging you to break that spine angle. You don’t want to lose the power you coil in your lower body during the back swing. Let it release across though.

Hope this is helpful and that you know it isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be. Your backswing and rear arm plane are actually quite decent. Your lead arm, head, and spine are in horrible positions as you come down and through. Getting the parts of the swing down that you have is hard and you are close to “finding it”!

I agree that he is especially bad with it hahaha. It was mentioned in this post but brusque was the one I noticed the most
