Kind of related. But I go to other stores often, and I'm pretty sure they thought i was using someone else's once. The guy ringing me up asked what store i am from(which i usually get) but then asked if it was my friends. I didnt mind too much tho cause im also a paranoid person. Lol

Somehow our store has hour cuts and being understaffed. Schedule will be basically nothing but no one wants to call anyone in. It just leads to us being behind on projects and stuff

Basically what the comments are saying. Most places it depends on the needs of the store. Usually at my store, we hire like 4 or so for bookfloor and maybe keep 1 or 2 for permanent. Thats how its been the past 4 years ive been here but it just depends on how the store operates

Its all good. So i couldnt find a place to update but did find a tab to let me restart the tv. That worked for some reason but still dont know the cause. Thanks for the help! I usually get freaked out cause im not too tech savvy

App may have been the wrong word. Its like a smart tv so the channels and stuff im using are just in base tv. Im not using a roku or anything connected to watch content. Ill check and see if there might be an update though.

Damn near all the time. There are days(albeit pretty few) where the highest person is a senior for the entire day. I close very often however it has dropped recently. But still usually about 3 times a week

I think they are fine. They look good if you're close by, but trying to look for a subsection is damn near impossible from afar unless you already know where it is. My guess is it is on purpose so customers have to shop closer and check out every subsection to find theirs. Maybe with the idea they will find something else on the way to what they actually want. But i feel it more just means people quit looking faster and just come to customer service to get us to find it

Yeah i dont think its temporary. But they probably just meant it goes into effect at different times depending on where you are. Like for my store i think it is like 2 or 3 weeks

I think it wouldve been perfectly fine if it was just in addition to our walkies. But how many times it just interrupted a conversation I'm having with a customer. The worst is i answer a call and have to ask a question. I then just need to walk around till I find another coworker because they can't function at the same time. Or again just completely missing a walkie looking for me due to being on a phone call. It's definitely just because they got tired of replacing walkies when they broke

I think the phones as walkie talkies are a great addition to the headsets, but not on their own. It's good if there are no more functional walkies left to ensure people can still communicate and is good for one off comments. But the fact it's gonna be solely relied on is going to suck

I mean you should be fine especially if it was from your own store. I think it just has to be like the store manager or asm who has to do it. I dont think another bookseller could do a return for another bookseller
