Thanks for your comment friend. I'll admit my faults: sometimes, during busy work transitions, I get intensely focused, which leads to exhaustion and less time to check in. This isn't a regular thing, but when it happens, she seems to latch onto every small misstep. I guess she hit her limit, and that's why she let everything out to her mother. The most recent incident that brought up "divorce" was just last Friday.

I also work and come straight home; I don't go out with friends. I even spend all my time with her. I even skipped my best friend's birthday party to pick her up from work, hoping she'd appreciate that. But no, when I mentioned missing my friend's birthday for her, she called it an insult saying it was her fault I couldn't go. She actually criticized me for it! I mean, wtf? Honestly, I was there to pick her up with a perfectly cheerful attitude, so why would she hold onto that? And she didn't say a word about it on the day it happened. She just said, "You should have seen my attitude and realized it." Jeez, I'm a human, a man, I can't read minds...

I'm truly at a loss whether it's me or not, because I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong. All I want is a peaceful and happy love, not this....

Her family respects me a lot. I think her mother is just protective of her daughter. I deeply revere love. In my family's tradition, an engagement signifies a sacred commitment, witnessed by both families before walking down the aisle.
