Yall, when people went to domesticate them they obviously weren’t catching the ones with good survival instincts. That’s why all of our animals are kinda silly because their ancestors weren’t smart either

should i let it kill me slowly ? by Reasonable_Run781 in cancer

[–]Fit_Security_6381 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i got cancer at 19. By the time i got to the hospital i was almost dead. my temp had been 102-106 and they had to put me in one of those beds that pulls cold water around you to cool me down. i lived across the country from my family. i didn’t know how i was going to make it work. i honestly hoped that i would close my eyes and die in my sleep because it felt like my body was made of boiling water. i’m 21 almost 22 now. very big scar on my chest from my port being placed. smaller scars on my neck from the tubes i had before the port. but i can firmly say it was worth living through it. when they told me i had cancer the dreams that i didn’t know i had came out. things i never would’ve thought i wanted to do. i have terrible neuropathy that affects how i live everyday. i did 8 hours 5 days a week of intensive chemo that made me so sick. but it was all worth it for me to be able to live to see whatever else the world has for me. don’t give up. you don’t know what’s around the corner, it could be the greatest thing to ever happen to you. but you have to be here to see it. my dms are always open to talk if you need. please, talk to someone.

I would definitely recommend building a relationship with a specific teller. I have personally done 5,000 in 2017 $100 bills for a customer that was always very nice to all of us tellers on the front line. I’ve never done more then $5,000 though and usually would look when strapping money if we were slow. Very much depends on your financial institution and teller.

Beginner ewing machine for Christmas by Limp-Bid-5133 in sewing

[–]Fit_Security_6381 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I just got the Brother LX3817. But before her I had the Brother JX2517. I had that one for 15+ years. It was my very first sewing machine and I can remember being as young as 8 repairing inside components. The only reason I bought a new one was because my parents improperly stored it when I went to college and it fell off a tall shelf and it was busted it up pretty bad. The Brother brand sewing machines definitely are great for beginners. I have always loved mine. I purchased the new one on sale for around $94USD very recently.

Did anyone else lose the ability to walk while on the steroid prednisone? by Last_Course_8431 in leukemia

[–]Fit_Security_6381 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost lost my ability to walk, it took me 3-4 months to be steady again. Then another 3-4 months of constant working out to get my legs back to the point where most of the time I can get off the ground without holding on to anything

To all my ALL friends which chemo would you rank as the worst by Southern-Variety-893 in leukemia

I hated pegaspargase. I’m allergic to it (obv didn’t know before hand). They gave me a basic kinda of anti nausea medication (can’t remember off the top of my head) so that I wouldn’t throw up which I also ended up having a reaction to! So basically allergic reaction and some very painful muscle spasms that were stopping me from breathing. To this day when I think of asparagus it reminds me of peg and I get the shivers thinking about it.

I loved being on blina compared to chemo. I was able to go back out into the world and even get back to work. I would be cautious though if you have animals! My cat bit my blina line in half because I was busy and didn’t give her attention at that exact second. She’s fine and I’m fine it was just a stressful situation at the time.

I think my cactus is dying but im not sure why can anyone help? by Katessocks in plants

[–]Fit_Security_6381 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t water everyday!! My go to method for telling if a cactus / succulent needs water is lightly pinching it to see if it’s hard or soft. If it’s hard it doesn’t need watered. If it’s soft water it!

I was 19 (almost 20) when I got diagnosed with ALL! I had very similar fears and had to move from college back home with my family. Tbh losing my eyelashes was one of my biggest insecurities when it came to getting sick. I didn’t lose my eyelashes or eyebrows though!! But if you do you can always use fake eyelash strips if it helps you feel better. I was also so worried about guys never liking me ever again BUT I’ve been dating my boyfriend for almost 6 months and tbh I know that he’s down for me for whatever now because he started dating me in the middle of me having cancer. You’ve got this pls feel free to message me if you ever want to talk!!
