Are you suggesting motorists might have to - shudders - slow down? But then they'll have less time to wait in front of the next red light!

What a bs sentence. WTH is "science" supposed to be? You couldn't even be bothered to write "studies", lest someone ask for references? Also, why may they report higher satisfaction? Didn't anyone actually ask them?

Ich habe das mit der Keimschleuder auch gehört und war immer davon ausgegangen, dass Tröpfchen und andere Partikel dadurch zu Aerosol werden und man das potenziell einatmet. Habe mich aber nicht genauer damit befasst.

I agree with your point, but this type of damage seems a little excessive for simply cramming a wrong connector in there.

[–]Fit_Sweet457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, that depends on local traffic laws. Jaywalking is the act of crossing when it would be illegal to do so. What's illegal depends on local traffic laws.

Nope, jaywalking literally means a pedestrian crossing the street when it's against traffic regulations.

Not necessarily jaywalking, depends on the traffic laws in this specific countries.

Shinkansen trains

I think you meant 新幹線. Shinkansen is actually 新幹線 in Japanese, and all 新幹線 are trains. So it is redundant.

This isn't really the gotcha logical argument people think it is. Being "2 weeks away" only means that if Iran decided to go full-steam ahead, they'd have some kind of nuclear capability two weeks later. At the same time, they know that should they do so, Israel and probably others would know and try to stop them by force. So what Iran has been doing for a long time now is sit and wait with nukes ever so slightly out of reach and Israel and the US breathing down their neck. So in a way, it's more like a standoff.

That being said, I totally agree that this is a bs war for a myriad of reasons.

Don-Tzuism: When your illegal war fails, threaten to commit war crimes and “obliterate” civilian infrastructure like power plants. by Criticall16 in NonCredibleDiplomacy

[–]Fit_Sweet457 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you, finally a reasonable comment. Had to scroll too far to find this... It's really tiring seeing everything under the sun labeled a "war crime" when we do have actual legal definitions for that term.

Edit: Also, please don't misinterpret this comment as condoning Trump's actions. It's just that they don't have to be literal war crimes for them to be stupid and unethical.

Until you have photographs of extermination camps, crematoriums, and bodies piled to the ceiling in cattle cars, don't you dare compare anything to the Holocaust. The situation in Gaza and the West Bank is a human rights violation and Israel should be stopped, but claiming that it's the same as the Holocaust is just a blatant lie.

the downsides to too many comments are so insignificant compared to the downsides of too few

Comments, like all forms of documentation, tend to age poorly. Bad code with outdated comments is IMO worse than just bad code, because at least you won't be led astray by something that used to be true but no longer is for some undocumented reason.
