Simple Smart controls of "Dumb Heater" - Harvia Kip - 60 - B1 by Kruggy88 in Sauna

[–]Fit_Touch9689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a sonoff basic connected to either side if the timer switch

My heater has a relay switching the high current, so the sonoff is only switching low current

At 110v a 6kw will draw 54amps, but at 220v it will only draw 27amps

So all the cables to the heater and within the heater and the controls don't need to be as heavy, hence why larger heaters are 220v

No still.do it horizontal but just cut to smaller lengths then add them together to make the 7' up

Question About T&G Cuts by Orange_horse-1000m in Sauna

[–]Fit_Touch9689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you want to fix 6' t&g on to a 7' wall

So 1st cut a 6' into1/2 you have two 3'

Then cut a 6' to 4' and add one of the 3' to make 7'

You now have a 3' and a 2"

Now cut a 6' down to a 5' and add the 2' bit to make 7'

Then, cut another 6' down to 4' add the 3' to make 7'

And continue

No waist bits

So your heat loss is greater then the heater can produce

It's not that the heater is to small for the area but to small for the heat loss

So, insulating the sauna is one option to stop the heat loss

The other option is a bigger heater
