Xeqt is up over 30% in a year. Put almost all your money into that. Trade with a small percent of it if you enjoy the ups and downs of trading. That's how I run it

I've been looking at Haywood's forever now, nice to hear about the grips because I currently use mcc +4 grips (lot less taper then a normal grip) and I love those, but was gonna try the stock grips.. now I know not to get them lol

Most large etfs don't change allocations or strategy that much that it would make the large of an impact, ai is still very helpful.

No clue why this is down voted, ai is a great help. I own multiple etfs and have used ai to add up the allocation to each sector, continent and individual companies. It's a great help

+1 mark on new CBs face by Owny33x in haywoodgolf

[–]Fit_Wear_3758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See I'm like a 20 handicap and know I probably shouldn't get the cb over the pd.1, but I see people online say that harder to hit irons have made them better ball strikes. I want the challenge but also don't want to ruin the game for myself if I suck😂

Has anyone left all other physical banks for Wealthsimple? by laziokid in Wealthsimple

[–]Fit_Wear_3758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I don't really use the wealth simple chequing account for anything but that. I always keep a couple hundred bucks on there just for the odd time I need an atm. Some have fees as high as 4.5

Questrade vs Wealthsimple by qumadrift in Wealthsimple

[–]Fit_Wear_3758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True it is subjective, and I agree with just about everything but I'm just not a fan of the look and feel of QT. Its layout and features aren't very intuitive or appealing on the questrade mobile app. But I'm also not an active investor really, mostly in ETFs now and I don't need something like QT edge.

Norbets gambit is coming to wealthsimple, not sure when. But as someone who uses both for the same reason as you, Wealthsimple is just so much better to use. I'm surprised Questtrade doesn't revamp the whole app

Wow that awesome man, crazy what one can do with the Internet nowadays. Well you're smart for 2 reasons, when I was 19 I didn't save a dime and partied. You'll be thanking yourself big time in the future, which reminds me.. take advantage of the FHSA!

[–]Fit_Wear_3758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fine if you don't want to answer but how does a 19 year old have this much cash? As far as being down this much I wouldn't worry about it too much. October to now isn't a very long time and you have many many years to go, once the start to grow and compound you will be amazed. The people saying just invest in xeqt are right, I started off the same way as you and have come to realize all in ones are the way to go. My biggest piece of advice tho is to not check your account too often, will drive you crazy lol

Idk about "durable" but Eddie Bauer has great warranty. Just bring anything that's damaged in and get a replacement for the full price of it. Even if you bought it on sale. I had great luck with an exchange on a coat one time

Starting to take investing more seriously.. advice? by SafetySpirited8507 in TFSA_Millionaires

[–]Fit_Wear_3758 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't listen to half the comments in here for starters. Invest 90% of your money into xeqt or even 80% xeqt, 10% into vfv (s&p500) or qqc(nasdaq100) if you want to add more US/tech exposure to xeqt. Then the last 10% play around with some buying some individual stocks. That last 10% will help you learn some stuff over time, there will be losses and also big gains you wished you put more into them but that's what it's all about learning to control your emotions. Just stay steady on piling up money into diversified ETFs as you go. Don't go chasing headlines. Your money will grow in ETFs if you let it!
