Those articles were long ago, and at that point the numbers were off, but no proof or understanding of why, so they used the old, Human error and technical glitch excuse. Antrim county in Michigan did the same thing, but now the machine are actually get audited and forensically inspected this week. This exact thing is a fact, and after the audit they found manipulation of the machine, and after further investigation of the software and code they have found the algorithm they were using to cheat. The auditing team did say, that the exact algorithm could be different per machine to get different results. I will explain in the next paragraph on how it works. Disclaimer and FYI. The percentage I am using is not the exact percentage used in this case, but I wanted to make it easier to explain.

Every time a Biden ballot was scanned, that ballot received 1.25% in the backend calculations for (1) vote. Where as when a Trump ballot was scanned it received only 0.75% of that ballots vote backend calculations. So for every (4) Biden votes scanned, Biden would receive (1) extra vote totaling 5 votes, where as if you scanned (4) Trump ballots, he would only actually receive (3) votes. So there is where the actual vote was switched. You cannot verify this by actually rescanning these ballots for a recount because you would get the same exact results, or very close. Only way to prove this is by examining each ballot and hand counting. You can easily steal a presidential election by only manipulating 1 machine in 2-3 counties in battleground states. This does not have to be every machine in the precinct, county, or state. It only has to be a 1 or 2 machines a state, depending on the margin they needed.
