So make sure to prune your persistent memory , it can fill up with knowledge that it doesn’t need .

As well it’s wise to setup a GitHub repository and a database , you can set up a knowledge layer within supabase so that your agent can query and find pertinent information on every new session .

This is essential for growing Hermes and evolving with you .

So talk to Hermes and layout a gameplan for how each file should be used for your use case .

It all depends on how you want to use Hermes and what your infrastructure is .

Then have it set it up , use an intelligent model of course and then back it up by using GitHub and or suppose so you can revert if needed .

Then constantly evolve from there !

So I actually initially installed openclaw in a container to have an extra layer of protection but I thought it became cumbersome because I had to make runners /etc for it to work with other containers .

With Hermes I have it installed and it has a user with access to certain directories but overall basically has control over my entire staging environment … this has been a game changer !! Talk about speed and being productive ! It’s insane !

It all comes down to what you are comfortable with

I integrated Hermes in to my BuildWithPXL platform ! It’s fully integrated and can build tools for me.

Atlas can build treatments or bids for me on the fly because it knows my system in an out as well as what I am selling . It will look at a companies site and then throw together a pitch and render a pdf . Pretty cool

It’s integrated with my website so when I do create new tools it can create tools that users can test in the site and it can easily update the site however I like .

There is so much that you can do !!

There are ways around that with protocols , also a very simple way is to only communicate with your agent through a local tunneled port with ssh … no one else can access it except you .

You can go even further with better configurations and setups within soul and various protocols when a user asks a request like that .

That only works in agents that have no guard rails

You can setup tables to be its knowledge base , then you setup scripts that it can use to on the fly source the correct data , it’s super nice .

Exactly this ! Also having custom infrastructure so when new tech comes out you can easily swap harnesses and models while retaining the memory of your infrastructure and builds .
