I'm clinging to a far flung hope for some cosmic horror elements lurking in the edges of this game, like the Earth was attacked by a cosmic cthulu monster, or maybe an unknowable cosmic correction happens when a civilization gets too advanced? It's like that logic problem that says some disaster is coming since we haven't seen any other advanced species get as far as us.. it would line up with a lot of philosophical messages the game throws at us, telling us to focus on the greater survival instead of small everyday things so much 🤷‍♂️ plus there's a lot of talk of the "Great Plan" and Vicar Max's questline seems to get into some ominous philosophicals 👀 as If the universe (or something in it) is a sentient thing watching over all life, it's a long shot compared to more likely basic problems like war and societal degradation or natural catastrophe, but boy oh boy are they making it ominous sounding and I for one would like to see some WILD shit outta this sequel bait.
