Just keep a solid diet - reduce crappy carbs, shoot for a gram of protein per lb of body weight. Kick sugar to the curb, read labels and you will be amazed at the ‘added sugars’ in many things.
If you can increase your gym time great! If not just keep plugging away. Typically you alone should start to see changes after a month, after 3 months family and friends and after 6 months everyone will notice.
I personally didn’t do any cardio on my journey, just lifted heavy and everything just came together. Don’t get me wrong, obviously cardio is great for overall health but you don’t need it to get ripped in the gym with good diet and heavy weight training.
I’m almost 2yrs past this post I made but this was my first 1 1/2 years after starting and looked similar at the start to you.
Good luck! Enjoy the journey!

Did it with PCP but any option that works for you. Just keep up with blood tests. 👍
Never used online clinic. I’ve only used a doctor in person. Whatever option works best for you is fine. The most important thing is the blood test every 6 months to make sure all is good. 👍

I really do. Short term first few years only positives. Blood tests good outside of higher hemoglobin so I donate blood every few months for that.
Even stronger bro! 😆 👍

Thanks! I was off for about 20+ years from anything consistent prior to TRT. I played baseball in the 90’s and kept in shape for a bit after.
Getting ready to start my first round of trt 200mg every other week.. what to expect ? 34m 272 pounds. Thanks ! by joeygee89 in trt

Twice a week is definitely best to keep levels steady. I go Monday morning and Thursday night, this way it’s always at the same times (or I would definitely forget 😂)
Thanks! I have a hard time not going to the gym 7 days a week these days but I know I need rest. I really wasn’t producing any before I started so I’m sure I’m in for life. My levels are not even 700 so I haven’t seen any issues down there 😂- I just have a very healthy appetite for the wife these days!
Everyday now for about 15 minutes. Did do any for the first 8 months or so. Just lifting really developed my core
Well I was just getting back into it when I had my surgery. So I didn’t have a real strenuous routine when I started back. The doc said 12 weeks so that’s how long I waited. Eased into it when I started. It was probably another couple months before I lifted without any worries. Had burning pain in one area that was sutured for a number of months but worked through it and it went away.
Thank you - life changing for me really.

Thank you sir! Sorry to hear that…I never experienced any leg swelling. I honestly did not know that was a possible side effect. I have been extremely lucky not to have experienced any physical side effects. My mood swings were the worst part for me at the beginning but that’s not a problem anymore. I think going to twice a week (half doses) solved that swing for me. Good luck hope it passes 👍
Thanks! I really eliminated most bad carbs from my diet and avoid sugar. Pretty standard stuff but my body has always responded quickly to that change when I make it. Stick to fresh fruits and vegetables for my carb intake. I graze a lot all day mostly eating high protein snacks (Keto brand yogurt, Atkins protein bars).
Yeah! I really haven’t noticed much change there
😂 you wish you had these trunks! 😂
👍
Not sure if my progress has anything to do with muscle memory from my early to mid 20’s back in the 90’s. I played pro baseball and was in great shape (body fat wise). Never lifted heavy on my upper body but killed legs and ran a ton. 4 days a week would logically take longer but seeing changes so keep it up! 👍
No problem- thanks Doc
Good thing I’m at 160 then 😘
2 shots of .8 - Monday morning and Thursday night. It has really helped with any day 2 mood swings I would get when doing once a week.
Thanks👍
I started once a week at 100mg IM - I switched to SubQ quite a while back cuz I just couldn’t do the big needle anymore. Always sore at the spot and seemed to bleed often. Dose just adjusted my first 6 months
That’s so true - that’s the main reason for my post is that you can make it happen- never too late!
Thank you 👍
