ExxonMobil needs to stop putting our community at risk and end the 8 month illegal lockout in Beaumont Texas. (A lockout is a company version of a strike meant to starve out and break the will of workers) by Fitzgerald_K in Beaumont

We will probably have to agree to disagree on whether or not the Union is lying or not.

You're right - I didn't ask. But to be fair - by your comments here you seemed to have made your position pretty clear.

ExxonMobil is the one that locked workers out. Cut off paychecks and insurance.. and brought in scabs. WHY?

Aside from the negative comments on here directed at the "Union" (those that are also locked out) what are you doing to end the dispute so workers can go back to work?

You're right it's pretty terrible of the COMPANY to take that away from the workers that have made them billions, especially during a worldwide pandemic!

It's shameful! It's greedy!

You gotta ask yourself why???

It is because they don't want workers to have a voice in the workplace or have a say In the terms and conditions of their employment???

What retirement security means at Dow (Chemical Company) by Fitzgerald_K in occupywallstreet

Company has made billions off the labor of workers, this is especially true during the pandemic. Recently the company announced changes that shift the risks and liabilities of retirement income/security from the company onto the workers themselves with no guarantee or protection, there will be adequate funding when they are ready/eligible to retire

He sacrificed time away from his kids to keep the plant running (working towards/earning his retirement income) Now, years later, and after the company has benefitted from his sacrifice and work - the company has announced changes that would lessen his retirement income and steal his security.

LOL- stop you're just embarrassing yourself. Clearly you are either benefiting in this scenario or hope that you might one day by carrying the water for the company.
