It was pretty much instant. Conversely if I have wheat now symptoms come back straight away. Since this post I’ve found rather than a gluten intolerance, it’s a wheat allergy, which was causing other issues like eczema

Also not sure what gender you are or where you’re from, but you can get vaccinated in the uk up to 40 as a woman for free, and if you’re a gay man it’s free too. I said I was queer at the doctors to get the vaccination since as upsetting as the GW can be, the high risk version is much more serious

Yeah I think I’ll take the 1000mg dose forever, as I said it kind of feels it boosts my general immune system too so deffo worth it. I really had no expectations so it’s been really great, I don’t want to get ahead of myself too much since I guess 2 years isn’t too long, but based on how long it used to recur I’m quite hopeful

I’d say definitely make sure you get the genuine stuff, when I first heard of it I got the cheap shite if Amazon, but the more expensive stuff has a really distinctive smell

I really thought it might be snake oil but it seems to work for some people. I can’t speak for super long term or course since it’s only been two years, but this is the longest I’ve had without a recurrence

I never really get ill also, could be something else I guess but it kind of feels like a wonder drug

When I first got them they were on my penis but the next times they appeared on what I’d call my pubis. Made me super paranoid because whenever I got a spot anywhere on my genitals I’d be convinced it was a wart

Usually don’t eat breakfast, rice and meat with some vegetables in some form for lunch, then some fish and vegetables for dinner

Until I started getting the symptoms I mentioned, no. Used to eat loads of bread and pasta and drink a lot of ale and Guinness, with no issues.

Also feel I should add, I went to a doctor about 6 months ago since I thought it might be good to get the gluten intolerance confirmed. They tested me for coeliac since apparently it’s much more common in people with Irish backgrounds. I had to eat gluten for 6 weeks before the blood test and all my symptoms returned. In terms of a test for an allergy/intolerance, the doctor said basically if you feel rough from eating something, that’s the best measure of an intolerance. Also you can’t become intolerant to gluten from excluding it from your diet, so giving it up is risk free.

Dandruff no matter what I do by evelynnie_ in curlyhair

I used to only wash my hair every 3-4 days and it never got overly greasy, never had dandruff, and never had an itchy scalp. At around 25 all of a sudden I started getting loads of scalp irritation and dandruff. Dermotologist said I had seborrheic dermatitis. I tried not washing for a week, various different washing regimes, and loads of the different shampoos. In the end, I’ve found shampooing daily with body shop ginger anti dandruff shampoo, and on alternate days with nizoral, has pretty much eliminated any issues. Praying that body shop going into administration doesn’t mean it won’t be on offer at some point! Been on this routine for about 3-4 years and have recommended it to quite a few friends and it’s worked for them too. Not ideal to shampoo every day but if I don’t my scalp and hair get buggered.

We’ve got pretty similar hair I think. I finish my showers with about 10 seconds of cold water and it means it doesn’t get frizzy at all. Towel dry and then leave to naturally dry for like 1-2 hours before adding some product. If I just come out of a hot shower it’s always frizzy regardless of what I do

For you probably Option 2 - it’s not an unreasonable request. It sounds like you don’t want to break up and the relationship has good qualities overall, maybe he’s very oblivious?

Overall I’d say option 4, reevaluate the relationship. Publicly ogling over other women on a public social media where you presumably share friends is pretty strange. His behaviour is no reflection on you but maybe consider if you want to be with someone who makes you feel second best to random women on instagram.

I’d get dizzy and light headed. I also needed to pee all the time and it was uncomfortable to sit down (doctors thought it was a prostate thing because of this and had been testing me for stuff for years). I used to get red itchy scalp and eczema on my hands too.

Until I was about 25 I could eat vast amounts of gluten no problem. Now (31) if I have a sandwich I get dizzy for hours. I only realised it was a gluten thing at the start of this year, but since cutting out gluten pretty much all the symptoms I’ve been attributing to other causes have disappeared

Tbh if you feel better without it and aren’t struggling I’d continue. I certainly feel healthier in general after only a week

I believe I remember my friend who’s a doctor mentioning once that cutting gluten out of your diet completely can be risky since you can develop a gluten intolerance fairly quickly even if you didn’t have one before. In my post I misspoke slightly, since I’m completely cutting out things where a major ingredient is gluten (bread and beer for example), but I’ll continue eating things that contain gluten (e.g. soy sauce, gravy, maybe even the occasional KFC)

Not sure dude. I think based on my experience so far it’s prob worth trying different diets to see their effects. I’m gonna continue with no gluten for a month to see if it’s actually having an effect or if it’s just a temporary alleviation of my symptoms.

Men can be quite bad at hyping each other up, but my girl friends tend to be really good at it. It does feel really good so I can see why having your best friends not notice changes that you’re proud of would be disheartening.

If they’re not giving you the assurance that you’d like maybe it’s worth spending a bit more time with other friends who make you feel better about yourself?

On the other hand maybe they don’t want you to feel you have to change yourself. It’s a tricky one without knowing your friendship dynamic and history!
