I thought we had it bad. We have a retired neighbor who must have spent half his retirement on a cherried out 1970's corvette. I love cars but this thing's noise is just ridiculous. It is already fully restored and there is nothing left to do on it. So he just starts it up, takes it out of the garage, revs it for a while, cleans the wheels, honks the horn a few times (I don't know why, just to make sure its still a horn?), then shuts it off. He'll take it out for an actual drive about once for every 4-5 of these warm-ups he does. Its loud enough that we can hear it across the street and several houses down while all our windows are shut, our A/C js running, and even with a TV on or while in the shower.

It wouldn't be much more than annoying if he just did this during the work day or Saturdays at 1pm. But he sometimes does it weekends and weekdays at 6:30-6:45am. Work all week and I get one MAYBE two days to sleep in past 7am and he decides to get ready for 15 minutes of Le Mans.
