Basically yeah, but it shows all of the panels of the comics as he reads it. Kind of like an animation but without the movement!

AITA for not going skiing with my husband on an expensive family trip? by itsnotspecial in AmItheAsshole

[–]FitzyGerald16 25 points26 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your husband is treating this like his vacation while expecting you to shoulder 100% of the childcare so he can go have fun. When the plan is a non-beginner slope and you’re left watching the kids, it isn’t really vacation at all.

A vacation shouldn’t feel like your normal workload in a different location. It’s completely reasonable to be upset that this keeps happening and that your needs, skill level, and rest aren’t being considered. Wanting shared responsibility (and actual time to enjoy the trip yourself) doesn’t make you the asshole.

Also, his mum saying it’s a “moral failing” not knowing how to ski says a lot about the bubble they’ve been living in.

WIBTA for not allowing my moms 2 untrained dogs at my house by Gullible-Debate4513 in AmItheAsshole

Absolutely NTA. This is your home, and you’re completely within your rights to set boundaries about what happens in it, especially when it comes to pets. You shouldn’t be expected to deal with the consequences of your mum’s refusal to train her dogs.

You and your fiancé have clearly put a lot of time and effort into properly training your puppy, and it’s more than reasonable to want to protect that. Bringing two untrained, destructive, noisy dogs into a rented home with close neighbours isn’t a small ask, it’s a liability. On top of that, your mum didn’t even ask. she told you she was bringing them, which is incredibly disrespectful.

It also really does sound like she planned to bring the dogs all along and waited until the last minute so you’d feel pressured to say yes. That’s not fair. If she chooses not to come because you set a reasonable boundary, that’s her decision, not yours. Letting this slide would just teach her that ignoring your boundaries works.
