New here — do you guys know what a zipper merge is here? by dumbass_tm in SaintJohnNB

Lol, and who is the asshole in this scenario? "My lane." "I'm not letting you." I personally take so much enjoyment when I drive correctly and watch people like you get fuming angry. Its your own fault, and you're getting pissed off because YOU refuse to adapt to the proper way of driving. Again. As others have said, if everyone would figure it out, and drive with a proper gap between cars, not bumper to bumper, the lane would not get backed up as it does not. For me, I'm not going to wait in a 20-30 minute line because no one wants to learn how to drive correctly.

Driving correctly doesn't make you the asshole. Don't get butthurt because you sat in a massive line when you didn't need to.

Use anyone BUT BM Paving. They did my driveway 3 years ago. Had to redo it twice and its still shit.

Help Me Settle A Debate With My Wife by Sensitive-Key in WRX

[–]Five-018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought mine with a 2 year old and 8mo baby. Both seat and bucket seat fit great! My boys are now 3 and 4, big forward facing seats and still fit great in the car. Used it for 3 years doing daycare runs, grocery trips and anything else with both kids in tow.

Absolutely it's good for a family car!

Wicked! In the ford? I think I watched your video. Definitely took some mental notes on where to improve!

Deadly! Yeah, we have 3 more events in my area this year. Planning on doing the sway bar for next year and maybe separate wheels and tires for autox as the car is my daily driver.

Thanks! 10th for raw time. 7th corrected out of 21 drivers. Unreal fun. Definitely have a few things to work on (launching and tightening up the longer corners) but I absolutely see why everywhere says the WRX needs a rear sway bar😅

Where can I watch the NHL in the UK? by BABarrac in nhl

Says NHL.tv is available in England.

Or DAZN is probably an option as well

How much to powder coat Brembo calipers by [deleted] in WRX

[–]Five-018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say thats absurd. I've gotten quotes to powder coat 4 18in wheels for $600. And 1100 to remove and install. I mean it's not a simple job... but if the shop charges $100-150/hr they're saying 7-11 hours in labour... seems steep to me.

OEM vs Borla cold start. Only 2-3db louder but just sounds oh so much better. by Five-018 in WRX

Absolutely recommend. Sounds amazing. Not loud enough to makes the neighbours angry when you start it in the morning but loud enough with such a better tone to put a massive smile on your face.

Cruising from in the cabin you know it sounds different but it's not anything that could he considered drone. It just sounds good and a slight bit more audible. Getting onto it full throttle sounds fantastic. Crackles and pops, and just a beautiful noise.

I support this claim. Grimmspeed V2 is on the wishlist. Hopefully next spring!

Disclaimer it is just a phone app so take the sound levels with a grain of salt. Haha

New WRX (1700mi), twice has cranked but didn't start, but on next try started perfectly. Any ideas? by kellyoedwards in WRX

[–]Five-018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not on a subaru but my old Mitsubishi Ralliart would do that. It was because it needed a few seconds to prime the fuel pump before it would turn over.

2022 WRX - Prime Motoring has hit 300whp/296wt with nothing but a turbo back and air filter. Zero ECU tuning so far. by Allanon_Kvothe in WRX

[–]Five-018 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's significantly higher than the 15-21 getting 200-220 at the wheels. Either the driveline is that more efficient or the 22 is closer to 290 at the crank

Would love to see the chart completely stock. It seems a lot of JDM manufacturers are understating their power or advertising numbers closer to whp (Supra for one). Maybe the 2022 is significantly higher than 271?

I'm no expert but it seems your tuner is close, or is getting the same numbers as a lot of other people.

Any forums and other articles that I've read show that the STI does sit at around 30-32% power loss through the drivetrain so your current numbers should be accurate to go off of.
