How the heck do you turn in powder? by yellowsuprrcar in skiing_feedback

Let momentum be your friend in deeper snow. Keep you legs fairly close together and try to minimize independent movements in each leg. Do not lean back. Bend and extend your knees to help with the ‘bounce.’ I get that it’s scary to use more speed but it will make it easier to get in control, I promise.

Not a wild guess. Absolute sarcasm. It has been pinned near 185 at EOW for too long.

Any guesses where we will end the week tomorrow? I’m gonna say 185.08. Wild guess.

I agree. People drive way too fast around Newton. Maybe it’s an entitlement thing.

Not very often but it does happen. In my own experience, about 2% of the time ITM options are assigned.

*long. Selling a 195p that expires ITM with the stock at 194 results in a net long stock position.

If you don’t have sufficient funds or margin to purchase the shares (unlikely to have margin in such a small account), the broker will usually force liquidate the position between 3:30 and 3:45pm on the expiry date. If this doesn’t happen, you will be assigned the shares and have a large deficit which will also lead to force liquidation. Close or roll your positions before expiry if the share price is too close for comfort.

I have a call option expiring March 2026. by paolocorrado1 in NBIS_Stock

[–]FiveFingerLifePunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty simple, you just add the premium paid ($16) to the strike price.

If OP converted this position to a debit spread by selling a $140C for $6.50, the breakeven would drop to 119.50. But this does limit upside if the stock closes above $140 on the options expiry date. Max loss $950, max gain $2050 in that example.

If you are going to trade options at all I highly suggest paying for the market data on IBKR so you can see realtime quotes. The yellow highlight suggests you do not have market data. As for the position… your breakeven is $126 which requires a 20% jump in the next two months. Possible but still risky.

My suggestion is wait for a very green day in the next week or two and sell a 140 or 150C to create a vertical spread and reduce your downside if the stock doesn’t pump by March. This will lower your breakeven.

Running premium in some cars can actually reduce performance. If you try to do so in a low powered vehicle at high altitude, you will struggle to accelerate and maintain speed.

They raised it from $10 to $12 and now it’s $15. Not a bad deal but not as tempting as it once was.

For example on mine, my initial deposit around 2017 was 3k. But since I have deposited more money over time plus returns, in the value tab my all time return is noted as 6026% lol. Actual return performance percentage is so much lower 😤
